gen 1 <-> gen to part shareing

i have a question that im not sure will work i have a gen 1 and i have a gen 2 here on loan from UNIT

the petrol caps are diffrent the gen 2 had 5 bolts and the gen 1 has about eight >> i like the look of the gen 2 caps ann was wondering if any 1 has tryed fitting a gen 2 fuel cap to a gen 1 if so did it work

i like the gen 2 cap as its just nicer looking

i know it seems like an odd question to ask but im thinking of doing it and wanted to know if any 1 eles has tried it?

If you have both bikes there and the keys to both just unbolt them and try it. You will prolly find tghat they dont fit.
