had very good dealings with "Ship-my-bike"

About 2 g's to pick the bike up in the UK clean it for AQUIS requirments, crate it and ship to Ozland.

Port fees this end were something else again and left me feeling very raped.

Wont hesitate to use them for a planed trip to Unzud later this year or early next

For the cost, time and effort invloved in shipping a bike just for a few weeks, you might be better off finding a Hire shop that does a sell and buy back scheme.

You could hire a bike there, but probably only a harley & that would be a waste of an airfare & 2 week's of time you could be on the busa .Or if there is a NZ Busa club, see if someone will lend you a busa while your there & in return, lend them your's for an aus visit . You never know,if you don't ask .

thanks all
ive got plenty of relos over there aswell, and i looked at hiring a bike while there and the average price is about $300 per day so it would work out cheeper to take my beloved with me instead and if i was over seas id rather be with a bike i know and trust

Little off the topic I know, but I can't believe the number or "foreigners" we get thru here on hired bikes. The other day a Yank who picked up a 1250GS in Perth and riding thru to dropoff in Sydney. Heaps of Americans and Germans at present - lucky bastards!

I'm following this thread with interest as am interested in an OS trip with my beloved.

Holy crap, hope for that price it comes with a $600 gift voucher for down the local parlour.

It aint no Busa but I just organised a GSX650F through Garners in Melbourne for my freind that's coming over from Brazil. Cost was $700 for a full 5 days.

I looked at hiring a bike in America, and the cost was prohibitive. Considering what buying bikes cost, you'd be better buying one on one coast, riding across and putting it on consignment.
