So,
Having not ridden for a long time decided to get back onto something fun. Took my wife out on lots of tests rides only to have her say can we please go out on something with more grunt?
Took a Busa for a stroll, for her to say that she needed a smoke at the end of a test ride and she doesn't, so I know it will keep her happy.
We are mid to late forties and happy to meet folk and go out for rides in weekends etc.
The Yoshi cans are waiting in the garage for the bike to arrive on Thursday this week coming. Only a few sleeps to go!
Happy to hear from folk in the region.
PS: occasionally I might even be able to take the bike for a spin without the wife (if I sneak out real early in the mornings) and have a little fun of my own.

hey sparky to the AHC !!
Ur wife has certainly got her "A" game going on when she says she's lookin' for more grunt (you chose.....wisely) !
Wait till she goes for a ride after U've whacked the Yoshi (& maybe a PC or "flash" job) on..... .....she might be lookin' for somethin' heavier than a cigarette !?!
Post up a pic of ur new steed when she arrives, m8 !
keep it fun,
bazman.

Hi Sparky,
Welcome to the Club.
The Canberra guys usually meet on Thursday nights at Zefferelis in Dickson about 6:30pm.
Look in "Riding-Not Talking" and then "Canberrans Sip Again"
MadMax and Heidi1 are the regulars. I get there when my shite roster allows.
Again, welcome
Regards,

Hi Sparky,
glad you have a girl who likes to ride with you. Mine does too, if we can get the kids (18 and 16) off the pillion seat long enought.
We should be meeting at Zeff's in Dickson this Thursday for a meal and a drink, around 6.30. AQlways glad to see new members.
Cheers.
Max and Mezza.
Good weather, good woman, good road, good bike, good-bye!!

Thanks Folks,
Are you going down this Thursday for a bite?
Madmax, my kids 20, 16, and 15 haven't yet felt the rush, but I have promised to open thier eyes a bit when it gets here. Then we will see if they want to come out again.
I took a couple of them out on a 600 recently so they have absolutely nothing to compare the busa too, but they thought that the 600 Quaka was quick.

Hi Sparky, we'll be there. Both my kids have said they want bikes, I've had to tell them that not until they have a full licence. That way they'll have a bit more road craft knowledge from their time on the road staying alive in their tin-tops. Then we'll just pray that's enough

HELLO!!!!
I LOVE a newbie! We'll see you at Dickson Zefferelli's at 6.30pm. Can't wait to hear all about it.
Cheers and welcome

My eldest wants to ride, so he says, so i am councilling him towards a 250 dirt bike to start on. That way when it goes down the road it will not cost him the same as a street bike to put back rubber side down.
Not sure how serious he is, time will tell.

If you pick the bike up, we'll be a very appreciative audience with our slow old Gen 1s mate.
If you don't pick the bike up, we'll still talk to you, probably take the piss out of you for being so slow to get the K10 though
