Was in the newsagents and seen a mag (britains superbike mag dec 09 copy) with a Busa on the cover titled
"Is this the fastest non turbo bike in the world?" Top speed is 222.8mph.
The specs are:
Capacity: 1640cc
Compression: 12:1
Modified 84mm JE pistons
Carillo Conrods
Billet Race Crank
Race Spec Billet Gearbox
Enlarged throttle bodies to 48mm
Modified head with 1mm oversize valves, competition valve springs and titanium caps
35% larger fuel injectors
Highly modified air intake with custom induction ports, hand made filter all emmisions gear removed and largest available throttle body stacks
modified Ti-Force largest available bore exhaust.
On the dyno;
240.55bhp@10,500rpm
141 lbs/ft @7500rpm
Dry Weight is 198kg.
Cost of engine work 13,000 pounds ($23,000 AUD)
Total cost on bike 45,000 pounds ($80,000 AUD)
Not a bad read.
