Any Warranty Issues to be aware of?
#1
My K9 is coming out of warranty in a few weeks so I was hoping to put it in for a 12mth service plus have any possible warranty issues addressed at the same time.

What are the main ones I should be looking for?

I am aware of the clutch rattle issue. I don't think mine suffers from it, but I might mention it anyway just so that it is on the record for later if this problem occurs (mine has only done 3,000 kms). I know a rubber protective block from behind the fairing has dropped out whilst riding one day, so I will see if they will replace that under warranty.

Would it be worth mentioning that she is a little tempermental to start sometimes (in case they come up with a fix for this later)?

Thanks

Michael

I'm going to find the paperwork to check but I'm sure I got 24 months warranty on my K9

Oops. You guys are right. 24 mths/unlimited kms on most road registerable models. That's a relief. Thanks for setting me straight.

Hi Michael,
Mate what you been doing only 3000K? Ive got the other black K9 in Bundy. Got mine in April last year now have 6000K & I thought I was being slack. Ive had mine back in twice with the tempermental starting when cold issue. So its on record so no harm in letting them know!

Dean (Mega cycle mechanic) great guy by the way agreed with me things should be better but has his hands tied by MR Suzuki on fuel set up. Unofficialy offered some changes but I will wait until I change the pipes & have Pitstop reflash the ECU. Other than that mine has been faultless unless you can get new back tyres under warrenty? Hi Steve, Good to hear from you. I could tell you a bunch of excuses as to why my bike has only done 3K, but I have definitely been slack - that is for sure. Having said that, I'm always up for a ride to Paradise or Mt Perry etc. I''ll send you a PM with some contact details.
