Heidi's Big Things Tour
#1

Steventh and BMW Bruce came to Canberra for a quick run around our backroads, and to see some Very Big Things. It is Summernats here in Canberra, so while it was worth doing 5kms/hr UNDER the speed limit around town, there was no such concerns on the back roads.

I promised them the biggest thing they had ever seen and came up with this. The scale doesn't do it justice. It is the tracking station at Tidbinbilla. You turn off the main road and tear down a long, gently undulating, beautifully surfaced, fairly straight bit of road (with a tricky gravel covered bend right when you are staring to the left at the dish). When you get to the bottom, you are faced with the biggest damn dish you've seen.

And then I started scraping the barrel. Do you THINK I could talk them into riding to Goulbourne to see the sheep?

Great photos Heidi. Have you seen how big the windmills are at the wind farms?

I'm so shirty it didn't occur to me before we did the loop. I remember flashing past a big mango and then a HUGE lobster in the middle of ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE, but that's about it. I think we even missed the prawn at Ballina.

The BIG CIGARETTE at Myrtleford is GONE !!!!!

I'm devastated, I never got a photo of it. It was a stack on the Tobacco Co-op sheds painted up with filter and all.
Went past the other week and it's Goooone!

Gotta luv our BIG THINGS!Lol3

Maybe we could place it behind Greeny's rockin' horse.

Oh yes, I'll do a run and get the big poo and the merino in one go. There is also a big cheese in Bega (ok, it just a painted watertank, but snaps to them for ingenuity).

Some people are like Slinkies ... not really good for anything, but you can't help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.

I'm going to have to get back to work in a minute, but I've just had a look at Tassy (we're going there in March), and there is a few detours I'll be taking! I'll need to see the Big Platypus, Big Coffee Pot and Big Tasmanian Devil. I'll need a map.
