Hi
my bikes off the road getting work done and I'm thinking of throwing a 45t rear sprocket on.
How much of a difference can be felt going +2 on the rear?
Also what's the easiest way to correct the speedo?

I just put a 46t rear and wow baby, Bgw are doing Vortex rears for $70 delivered....You cant go wrong.
If ya like wheelies, then yeah................

Wheelies depend on how much you weigh! me being 125+kg's not so many wheelies!

I'm 115kg and 6ft6. Still manage to wheelie way too much!
I'll go 46 if it fits with STD length chain!
I'm worried about calibrating my speedo tho!

Like i said i'm 125+ and 6ft1, and i manage to keep the front down just fine with a 46t, it will fit with the std chain and at 110k's on the speedo is about 100k's for real, so it reads 9 - 10 k's fast.
i had 18/44 and it was wheelie happy. Going 46 with standard chain will shorten wheelbase and make it wheelie more

We took our K8 to heathcote with a extra link in the chain and a 45T r/spk. 1st 2 runs 9.88 & 9.87 / 146 mph and change. Went to a 43T [had to take extra link out] straight to 9.62/148.22, one less gearchange and a lot easy to get off the line , tried a 42T next, best leave [1.59 60 ft] and ET 9.56/147.8 but lost a little speed. I guess what I`am trying to say is lowering the gearing is good for wheelies [but you already new that] and feels like its accelerating harder but sometimes its not. I am not trying to be a smartarse just some observations and a lot of runs down the 1/4 mile over the years. Jim

Std K8 Busa with RS3 yoshi cans, lowered, stock length, but exta link with 45T r/spk, reverse pattern gearchange + quickshifter, + TRE and PC3. Dynoed at 175 rwhp @ 105 Ft/ibs torque on our dynojet dyno.
With 45T best 60ft 1.66 and 6.49/115.15 mph at 660ft. 43T= 1.65/60ft 6.31/118.64 and 42T= 1.59/60ft 6.23/117.89. Obviously some of the improvement is getting used to riding again [we dont actually have a dragstrip in SA] cheers Jim
