In line with the other areas, Braddo and I have chatted about having an end of year party too.
Our ideas are either to book a table at a pub/club somewhere or hold an easy BYO BBQ somewhere, maybe around the lake so it is central.
Braddo, Mez, Helen and I are in and will go with the flow for ideas.
Any other locals up for a shebang to see out the year?

How about come down and join the Sydney party???? Plenty of space if you want to stay the night....I even have 2 futon lounges, spare mattresses, air mattresses (first in best dressed) plus floor space. Everyone is welcome.

Thanks for the offer Kathy but we have a fair crowd up here (though not highly active on the forum) and the weekend of the 19th December is not good for me.
Our's will be a low key affair and we probably won't be wanting to travel far.

The Newcastle/Hunter area end of year shindig was on last night and was a real hoot.
Over 30 locals attended for a meet and greet over a few drinks and a nice dinner at the Minmi Pub.
It was terrific to see nearly everyone in one place for a change and I'm pretty sure that everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.
We will do it again in the new year for a second chance to make the most of the great weather.

ah shit sorry Simmo and sydrd. I didn't really think you would want to sprint all the way up midweek for a beer and a chat.
