Motorcycle parking in Brisbane
#1
There's bugger all provided!!!!.
What is provided by the council is overcrowded every day. Flamin scooters jam themselves between the bigger bikes.
On top of that, if you don't park WITHIN the marked lines you get a parking ticket.
One particular spot is bordered on 2 sides by guard rail & a marked parking space on the 3rd side. A bike can EASILY park there with no interference to or from anyone else. ConfusedBUT, because it's not a MARKED space, if you park there you get a ticket.Idiot2 ANAL pricks.

My building (69 Ann St) has 3 basement levels of parking. This parking area is to service 2 buildings, totalling approx 4000 workers.
On these 3 levels there is allocated space for approx 400 cars + approx 700 pushbikes.
The pushbike parking is free, but car owners are charged $560/mth ($26 / work day) for the privilage of parking in the building.

Over these 3 parking levels there is a total of THREE allocated motorcycle parking spaces.
If these spaces are full (first in gets them), then bikes are allowed to park 2 per car space. AND they are charged 50% of a car price for the privilage. But you must have another bike to share the space cost. If not the 1 bike pays the full car space price.

What an absolute rip off.

QLD is a joke ! The place is over policed to the max and get this Im right near the QLD border and in QLD the cops are right on to you if you have a tail tidy, fender eliminator or what ever you like to call it but NSW no such problems.
Why? All the bikers need to get together and do something about it, Really the cops are out of control up there. They pick on motor bike riders too much.
So like yeah there going to give bikes parking space LOL!!

We pay 50 bucks a month where we park. Tone and I get exercise as well as our bike is about a km from Tone and a half of a km for me.

Yeah, it's kindda strange. It's as if anybody that rides on a bike must belong to a gang or something

Will give it a go Kev.

Regarding the amount of motorcycle parking space under the buildings.
Yesterday was talking to a guy who works for Telstra (they occupy approx 65% of both buildings). He tells me that the Telstra employees that ride are getting a petition together. They have about 100 sigs so far. Today I'll get in contact with the Telstra guy who's driving it & I'll see how many riders from my company I can get to sign.

Could be the coppers in your local area. I haven't had an issue with coppers around Brissy.
Or in Melbourne when I lived down there.

The Council - they are a different story. Idiots........
