Only 3mm more stroke than a K8, 20mm piston pins as apposed to 18mm on K8 11.5:1 CR.
She'll be right--- I hope. GEN1 rods work fine in a 300HP Turbo. Should be OK in 260-270HP job---I hope.

Lol.

Is that a stock Gen1 crank that has been offset ground? And if so, how far can you go? Although 5mm is quite a lot.

Cheers

Gen 1 rods are not as good as gen 2 rods, and turbo is way softer on rods than NA
many have enough problems keeping strokers together without shortcutting

Years ago I saw a fully counterweighted, offset ground VW crank. The owner had to use different rods because the big end journals were smaller after the machining. If you're using your stock rods, how'd you get around the reduced size journal problem: Built up with weld before machining??

And what displacement will you end up with with an extra 5mm of stroke? (Is it 5mm total stroke or 5mm offset ground?)

Sounds good, Cheers

Just stuck it in a box, sent to USA & bingo. 5mm Offset Stroker Crank for 68mm stroke, for 86mm Offset Big Block for 1580cc. Threw new bearings in & conrod bolts. Cheers.
Anyway got to go before Rod & Heidi collude to move all my posts to some control freak archive highway.
"Where I live" Not by choice. Only stuck here cause of some stupid drunk woman driver and a communist NSW Labor Gopvernment's stupid legislation.

Gruntmax, moving your thread to the archive section is not personal and never will be. As long as you continue to break the S&R guidelines, your posts will be moved for the health of the club. It is the same set of rules for every member, but your threads are moved more than anyone elses. Have you thought about why that is?

Rather than posting inflamatory material on this site, why not have a look for another site where material like that is welcomed. That way you could talk busas here with no problem.

Dearest Heidi,
Good to see you never take things personally. Regarding the post that was removed, I was only trying to prevent perhaps 100s of NSW Highway Patrol Officers from receiving brain tumors from their pulse doppler radar units radiation. I do in fact know of 1 NSW Highway Patrol Officer based in Eden where one of your Tathra photos was taken that rides a Busa. That post may have prevented that Busa Rider from receiving a Brain Tumor that the NSW Government would refuse to compensate him for. Their limited technical knowledge of these units was demonstrated to me recently in a NSW Court where I won. "Next time I'll get my engineering department !"
The posted material was not inflamatory in any way whatsoever.

Gday Resn8,
Thanks, I registered. HOWEVER. I have not made a post as yet as during registration I noticed advertisements appearing for MacQuarie Bank. This made me extremely sick as one of MacQuarie Bank's employees is Bob Carr who totally stuffed the NSW CTP Green Slip Insurance legislation up and the NSW Workers Compensation legislation up & as you are probabley aware I am a Victim Of A Drunk Woman Driver currently undergoing Bob's compulsory 3 year starvation period & when I do finally settle their maximum loss of earning compensation is 1/169th of my actual lost earnings.

Merry Xmas to everybody. Except employees of The Communist NSW/Chinese Labor Government.
