depends how you spend your money
new or secondhand turbo kit , with or without external wastegate , full exhaust costs more , hd clutch springs, head studs & nuts, spacer , use this list and compare some prices i shop here http://www.orientexpress.com/ and here http://www.rcsperformanceonline.com/ for accessories Are you planning on importing a kit or buying within Aust Will you be doing the install yourself ?

Spoke to S&R pro and they said 11000 for 250 at the wheel.
How much of a mechanical sense is really needed? Im still in the study days of what to do yet maj but am very keen to see what the best thing would be for a not so 11k price tag.

S&R offer a ride in and ride out service for your money.
If you can make your own kit you'll still need it tuned by an experianced tuner or take the risk of damaging parts with out one, that will save you $ somewhat. If you buy a kit from os it will sound cheap but not if you get hit by duties etc, getting it installed and tuned adds to the price or you can DIY install. I've built a few turbo kits from gound up and I'm not that keen on doing it as a living, $11K doesn't sound that bad, to drop it off and pick it up all done and finished! I find that the more someone questions putting a turbo on, the more likely they end up putting a pipe on their bike and calling it a day! Good luck!

Unfortunatly the more money you save in the build the more you'll spend fixing her when she goes BOOM! i've seen screws from cheap wastegates rolling loose inside not good if you don't wanna run 30+ psi everywhere. Do your research with wide open eyes mate, goodluck, it's addictive

Or you could just buy one that has already been done, there are a few out there for sale and you will pick them up for a shit load cheaper than you could build one.
