Stock Can Mod (Shortened) Question

Ok, so who has seen this mod done?
i have found pics/posts of both the gen1 and gen2 having shortened stock cans.
Looks fantastic on the gen2 imo, but has anyone seen or done this within australia?

if so how much work was involved, would an exhaust specialist be able to do this with much effort or would it be hell +

I guess if funds are short and you want to keep 12kgs on the bike its a good mod - theres a coupla guys around on other sites that have done it havnt seen one in person though. I did consider at onestage but then when I realised the stock headers alone wiegh more than my complete Titanium system I changed my mind . I rekon if yo can eliminate the Cat it priolly wouldnt be too bad - sounds ok on vid

mod is purely for looks and sound.
Reduction in wheight is minimal although chopping those 5kg cans in half cant hurt :P
