so there will be 3000 one armless people walking around

hope the weather is good for alll of us!

Yeah but the Harley riders are used to that already, since their bikes are variable noise, constant speed.

I'm glad you are coming along Busgo, it is a really worthwhile cause that we are riding for, you'll be amazed how big it all is, and how good the cameraderie is across all the riders, regardless of what they ride. We are bringing along our neighbours for this one too, he rides a CBR1100 and she rides a Kluger Lol3

I think BMW are doing one of their safaris there this year, but it's the off road one (The one where people with cast iron balls go trail bike riding with 200kg bikes like R1200GS's). That should get the numbers up a bit.

Hi Everybody

I was looking through the Snowy Ride pack today and saw that there is a shuttle bus available between Thredbo and Jindabyne on Saturday night. The contact number for the bus is (02)6456-4425, ask for Melinda

This is good for those who dont want to face the prospect riding back a bit tiddly or in the dark with all the wildlife on the roads.

Only a few more days to go, will wheel the bike out tomorrow and give it the once over, as well as put the pack frame back on.

Still got a cough Pi_freak, working on a pile of drugs to get rid of it ASAPCoolsmiley.

With our teenagers, they wouldn't have parties but two out of three would fight to the death, leaving the third teenager to clean up the mess Lol3 or they would eat us out of house and home, therefore causing the dog to start eyeing the teenagers off Drool

Hi everybody

Road conditions for the weekend are as follows;

Road Conditions

There have been heavy snowfalls recently in the Thredbo – Charlotte Pass area which have had some impact on road conditions. NPWS and RTA are doing a brilliant job of keeping all roads open and sweeping gravel.

However things do happen without warning so please head any warnings and ride to the conditions

The following are updates from NPWS and RTA

• RTA roads- Snowy Mountains Highway, Alpine Way and Kosciuszko Road will be swept next week prior to the Ride. Caution uneven surface around Charlotte Pass.
• NPWS roads- Elliot Way and Cabramurra to Khancoban road will be swept next week

There is a slow moving Snowyhydro truck going from Khancoban to Guthega via the Alpine Way on Friday 6/11/09. It is departing 5.30am from Khancoban and arriving at Guthega Power Station at 11am.
For advice to riders to be aware.

The Variety Childrenâ€s Charity car event is coming into Thredbo on 9 November. Might be good to advise riders who are leaving the area on the Monday morning to keep on eye out. I have let them know about the Snowy Ride.

Please be advised that the following works are in progress around Kosciuszko National Parkâ€s roads.

• Roads Reserve Maintenances work KNP 5 (Cabramurra road). Starting today 2nd November to Friday 6th November.

• Roads Reserve Maintenances work Guthega road from Kosciuszko road to Guthega Village starting today 2nd November to Friday 6th November.

• Maintenances Grading Guthega road from Guthega power station access to Guthega village. Starting today 2nd November to Tuesday 4th November. Then on to the Link rd between Smiggin Holes to Guthega road til Friday 6th November.

• Geehi Dam road (Olsens road) will be closed to the public from Olsens lookout from Tuesday 3rd November until further notice.

All these works are programmed to be completed by Friday 6th November
