Hi Guys,
My first Service is due in next 2 days. Need to know if we have a recommended shop around Perth. I bought my bike from Witch cycles but they are bit far from where we live.
Please recommened any shop also I have been quoted $ 180 to $ 220 as cost of first service, I think its bit too much.
Cheers,
Bill

My 09 Busa is also coming up for its first service in a fortnights time, I have used McCulloch Suzuki in the past when I bought my GIXER1000.
The cost was also around the $200 mark.
McCullochs are pretty good, in the past they have even given a loner for the day at no cost while I had it serviced.
Speak to Andy.
As for me, I'll get my first service in, then do the following services myself i think.
Hope this helps out.
Catch up with you hopefully on the 24th for the Latte night in Northbridge.
Cheers,
Robert.

My first service on my K8 cost $199 but that was one year ago. It was done at Joondalup Motorcycles (Suzi dealer) but I was not happy with the job they did (engine oil overfilled way too much!! and fairing not refitted properly).
I will not take the bike back to the shop where I bought it either (Lord st North Perth) as I found the chain very slack and the rear wheel way out of alignment when I got it home after taking delivery.
Got my second service at Savage Suzi in Midland and was very happy with the job they did. I have been to them for parts etc as well and have always been happy with their level of service. Highly recommended.

I had mine done by Chapmans and from memory it was around the $200 mark. I always get the first one done by the dealer I bought a new bike from, mainly as it gives me an indication of if I should buy a future new bike from them. A Honda dealer in Vic Park and a Kwaka dealer not far up the road will not get my business again as there were simple issues not picked up, although a pimply faced apprentice changing the oil and filter on my bikes can't know everything.
LC's gave my 'busa a thorough going over and re-checked everything. I recommend these guys as they actually use that old concept of "customer service" and prefer to see you ride away happy than take your cash any worry you'll be back complaining. Some dealers work to the dollars quoted but others work to the opportunity for repeat business by keeping their customers happy - LC's wann you to smile.
Note: I do not give out praise as a general rule but cannot complain about the service these guys have given both in the purchase and after sales service.

LC still hasn't responded to my legitimate requests for an SAIS key for another zook I own. Bad boys. I'm a very pissed off Camel.

These threads always get people going so here's my 2 bobs worth.
I have dealt with Savage since buying the bike and have been very happy with them to date, they have matched any price that I have thrown at them so I have kept my Business with them.
I have continued to ring other dealers when I'm getting prices and some of them tell me that they will ring back and I'm still waiting so I probably won't bother ringing them again.
I was chasing some tyre prices last week and had one Suzuki dealer tell me that Michelin don't make a Pilot Power 2CT, I told them that they didn't know what they were talking about and that they should get up with the times. The person on the other end reckon I didn't have my facts right, so that will be another dealer I won't bother going to shame really as they were close to home.
All in all I think it really depends on who serves you on the day as I have had some really good dealings with other dealers but you need to be talking to those people that give a shit abd generally interested in listing to you not just hearing you.

I bought my bike from Savage (Midland) and have used them for servicing and other little teething probs with the bike. Would definitely recommend them for price and more importantly to me, great service !! The guys have even looked at several things and not charged me, and they have a loan bike. Will definitely stick with them.

My first service at Lloyd Chapmans in Perth (where I bought the bike) cost me $192
$99 labour
$26.70 filter
$2.45 washer
$55.30 for 3.5 litres of engine oil
$8.80 sundries?
One thing I did notice was the adjuster nuts for the rear wheel chain adjustment were not done up
