Congratulations Mark.

Nice looking Busa, with plenty of opportunity to add 'bling'. I'm sure that you and your wife will have hours of fun on it Coolsmiley.

Thanks guys

Kathy it's school holidays so my wife is off for 2 weeks. Just planing a time we can go for a ride. I know we have sold her bike but there will be more of an effort for both of to ride for husband/wife time on the Busa.

I would also be nice to meet a few people from the forum, I got to meet Franko last weekend, which was nice. I was just looking that the BBQ on the 10th. I am working this weekend so that counts us out.

First impressions of the bike on a decent run are very nice, riding position is a little more sporty over the Blackbird, she seems more responsive than the Bird as well. My final 10k's home along Grose Vale Rd, where I tend to open up the throttle were hampered by the local Hwy patrol doing laps. Frown Still there is plenty of time to get her out and about.

Not sure what to do with the number plate either. I have my own plate on hold at the moment. I wonder if people with K6 Suzuki's would be interested.

Cheers

Mark.... great buy! Looks fantastic.

The plate isn't too lairy.... but if you decide you want to get rid of it, best to advertise it in the For Sale section. If anyone is interested, you'll know soon enough.

I just (as in... 2 hours ago) fitted a riser plate that raised the bars 19mm. I wasn't all that uncomfortable with the original ride position, but my neck has 'twinges' after long runs (ie : 4 hours or more) so the riser should either reduce or eliminate that. The double bubble screen is great and by replacing the OEM pegs with Gixxer units I got just over a centimetre of additional leg room.

Enjoy!!!

Thanks guys for your mostly nice words. I can forgive Hutch99 as Mopar is very acceptable, and he could have been very insulting and mention another brand of car. Pi_tongue

While I wish it was worth 10 Busas, it does not have the super roo decal on the guard and is a JG34 and not a JG33 (I missed out big time around 10 years ago). The car is a factory GS and not a GT, it comes with a mere 302 windsor, Top Loader and 9". She has some rust and needs a respray. We are tossing up on selling her or striping her down, cutting out the rust and welding new sections. A friend who is a panel beater has offered a MIG, his services and a little time to teach me to correct methods in cutting, MIG welding and getting her prepped for paint. Once completed worth around $50,000 +. Honestly the rust repair is very minor and a chance to broaden my experience with body work and paint prep. It will also give me a chance to build up my tool box as well.

In fact we had someone come and look at it this afternoon and made a really silly offer of $10,000 for it. Wife wants $15,000.

The funds were going towards the other Ford in the garage that shares space with the Busa. She is American and comes with a 289 Windsor and I guess cant be seen in the picture. But my dream car since the age of 14.

I guess I have too many toys and a very understanding wife. NO chance of a divorce boys as I am the luckiest man alive. Yes
