"In March this year the Standing Committee on Transport decided not to proceed with the idea of front number plates and handed responsibility to the Queensland government to investigate electronic methods of identifying motorcycles from the roadside."

Spooky that. It seems they just want to develop another method of detection. Funny tho... when all of this started they were big on the "safety" aspects and small on the "speeding". Now it sounds like speeding was the only issue. Thus... revenue?

"Last year, NSW police arrested a motorcyclist who allegedly sped past police cameras near the Spit Bridge in Sydney more than 2000 times while covering his rear number plate with his hand "

hands up all those who reckon they could ride a bike while covering the rear plate with their hand. need to have arms of an ape and be about 10 feet tall. stunt riders eat ya heart out.

me smells bullshit methinks

Excellent news, however, I don't for one moment think they'll do nothing. The reference to photographing bikes from the rear has always been there, we have red light combined with speed cameras in Canberra that photograph from the rear already.

It's excellent to hear we wont have to return to front plates, thanks for the article.
Good weather, good woman, good road, good bike, good-bye!!
