cuts outs unexpectedly when decelerating....

First make sure your idle speed is correct . If you have checked everything and are still having troubles ,it may be that you need to take it to someone with a yosh box ecu adjuster and have the low throttle settings richened slightly. The aftermarket pipes may be making a slightly lean condition worse.
A bandaid solution for this may be to set the tps to a slightly higher voltage than recommended, but if you are going to change this measure the existing value so it can be returned if you don't like the results.

He also mentions that a couple of times it stopped accelerating around 120-130.

A lot of 99 busa's (mine included) had that problem & it was called a "tuning stumble " by Suzuki. A quick remap fixed "that" problem.

If the bike dies completely around 5000, then recovers back to 5-7000 and dies again, then that is the classic symptom of a blocked return filter (the small one under the F/P regulator).

OK - I havent done a bloody thing - working too much!!!

Did go for a quick blat today and no problems whatsoever....

Having said that, I have gone back to using just regular fuel, no premium....

If it stays really cold this weekend (I know, i'm a woose) I'll have a look at the filters et al.

yes I am lazy. I havent chcked the filters out, been too busy (well, its A excuse.....)

on a ride yesterday it hesistated and slugged through Woodford (could be the smoke? ) from 40-60kph, and one or two more times a bit further up the road going up to 100ish - having said that, I was on the last 3-5 liters of fuel, and I have ONLY been using regular, not premium for the last 1000kms or so.....

Chris when using premium fuel what fuel are you using I was told from Suzuki never to use Optimax as it somehow clags the injectors on the Busa I only run Vortex in mine and no probs
Whats the deal with these stock cans and system I have you still interested or do I pack them away again Regards Bill

Hi all.

Well I was finally able to take my Bus for a long ride yesterday with the boys (VFR800/SV650S/CBR600RR/Trumpy T'bird) - did 600kms around SEQ.

The fuel problem is still there, and was most apparent at 220-240....umm..feet per day.... officer... it surged again...and when I was almost home - about 3-4 liters left in the tank....

Okay, that's it - b4 next ride I need to fix this.

Yep, a bike that stops accelerating unexpectedly can be a real bitch, especially for the bloke following too close !
