Funny, and true, story...

While looking for a new lease car last year, I was interested in the Chrysler 300C, and the FG XR6 Turbo. Having recently sold my '07 Typhoon, I missed the power, so even though I liked the 300C (apart from the price and the stupid bloody wooden steering wheel, the car isn't worth what they sell it for imo..) I thought I might go and have a look at the VE SS's, namely the sportswagon, as they look better than the sedan..

I walked into Holden, and the manager came out to talk with me. I told him I was looking around for a new car, he asked what I was interested in, and I said the FG Turbo, and asked what he would sell me to compete with it...to which he replied "I have nothing that would compare to that car, not even the SS..."

I was shocked that the manager would say that..I took one for a drive anyway, and wasn't overly impressed at all. They go ok...but the build quality still doesn't compare with the Falcon..but admittedly they are an improvement over the VT, VX and VY...

Holden cars....CHEV motors, FORD transmission, FORD diff....HOLDEN shell....yeah, they are VERY australian.

I had a BA XR8 that I did a bit of work to, that whipped even the clubsports and GTS's of its time. Then my Typhoon...now my pissy little turbo'd 6 STILL flogs the best of your 8's....so maybe your blinkers are blinding you both?

In other news, Team Vodafone will be racing Holden for the next 3 years, Holden spokesman said that they "don't like losing so much" so they have thrown the money at team vodafone to get Lowndes and Wincup to race Holden...
