Which dealers do you recomend (or who should I stay away from)

Sydney City Motorcycles in Lane Cove did a good job for my 6 & 12K kms service but they are expensive at around $400 a pop. Just about to pick up my bike after its 18K kms service on the Sunshine Coast at about $300 so I'll soon see the difference. I think SCM are at Kogarah and Parramatta as well.

Rob on this site is good (rctunesit) 96029844 tell him Simmo said to call
He is at Moorebank & will stamp your service hand book also

I did my 1600k one at Western Penrith for the K8 & had my old 99er done there a few times they are good but they seem to change workshop staff there a fair bit

thanks for that info , i hope to meet him some time , i thought they did high performance work , and usually high performance work performed by specialists cost big $$$$ , i'd feel like a goose going into a high performance shop on my 70k + ride.
besides its only going in for a oil / filter change :)

Thanks for the replies, I need to stick with a Suzuki dealer for warranty reasons (or I would be doing it myself)
I,m thinking either parramatta or castle hill

Castle Hill are meant to be pretty good. I use Mick Dyers when I need work done (altho do most servicing myself)

westerns at Penrith are pretty good too.

Bikebiz in Parra aren't bad either, altho not a suzuki dealer.

Do it yourself, warrenty is worth shit anyway - if its cruising along with no nioses by now (apart from the clutch bolts falling out lol) its cheaper plus if you have put anything on like a PC or pipes and bling they will argue it to the point it usually easier to just pay the $$ lol. Mind you my bike is past the 12mths now - bolts came loose after the 12mths anyway and refuse to pay $400 odd for a bloody oil change ridiculous - 1st service is a joke and they miss things (after that I did the rest myself)... usually done by apprentices as well .... sigh guess they have to learn ... not on my bike though :)

25,000km still going strong 5 oil changes, valves checked by a mech mate - all mods done myself, good learning I rekon. Best thing I did a few years ago was build a bike from ground up - taught me a lot about bikes ... and what not to do lol
Egos; everyone got one

What gets me is how much some of the bike shops charge. When I had my busa I asked the shop where I purchased it from how much for first service and they said $300+ What the !
Then I asked Rod at mud &Tar motorcycles at Wauchope and his quote was about $150 ? So I took it to him and it ended up being under the $150. I not saying to go to Wauchope but it just makes you wonder.

Jamie, how much is dyno tuning on it's own worth?

I think the Yoshi tune might be starting to need revamping.

All depends on what you want done A full custom map for a pc3 is around $300 just a dyno run is $80 this gives you 4 runs.
