I hope it is as painless for her as they can make it.

my knowledge in alternate drugs has helped, the family keep requesting morphine, when she is not in pain, just agitated. So have been reassuring them and she is comfortable.

well mum passed away thursday afternoon.

after our last sleepover (I pulled shotgun all night beside her - was sick of sharing with a wanna be family - another story)

I finally stepped up to stretch at 5.30am and spent the next 2 hrs across the room. I looked over at her and just saw a change. Her eyes were open and she looked sweaty....

So I went over and stroked her hands and arms and she was a cold clammy sweat. I spent about 10 mins then talking to her and stroking her. After that I alerted the wannabe and softly said, this is it.... She jumped right into pain in my ass care mode. (Hey I didn't want to share my mum, especially after being estranged for the last few years.)

She passed away at 3pm. I couldn't of hoped for better as she was 2 weeks sick, and only 2 weeks after that diagnosed with cancer - we had 4 weeks all up.
So a big thankyou to all you guys out there who sent their kind thoughts and wishes. xXx
Sorry to hear of your loss Missy. As you said though, atleast it was relatively quick, and you got to say your goodbyes no doubt.

I had a friend get sick 2 years ago, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor on a Friday, they gave him a week, he lasted until Monday.

Unfortunate and inevitable part of life.

Condolences to you and your family
I am sure that all our members who love you Missy_Moo, share with me in giving you our condolences and as Raging said, we are glad that you got that last short piece of time to share with her.

Take time to grieve. It is not an easy thing to do.
