Hey Cheeky, it's Mez
Congrats on your win! Just think of the fun you had trying to win it You could always sell it on Ebay if your worried but you'll probably have to disclose more info about the standards than JB promos did.

Sell it on Ebay? No one would EVER buy it....so maybe you should just send it to me and I will leave it on display on my bar
Always nice to win something though, regardless if you can use it or not.

Cheeky, living in NSW also, I would not recommend wearing it on the road for 1 reason, it is against the law in NSW to wear a helmet that does not have an Aus std sticker on it. Even tho the Snell DOT ratings are higher & most Euro ratings are higher than Aus std's, mr plod WILL book you if ya helmet is missing that little tick sticker!
& as far as racing helmets go, they don't have aus std ratings as to be used on a race track, particularly at National or International level motorsport, they have to meet a higher standard rating. Hope this helps, sorry to put a dampner on it for you tho.

Isn't it Ironic that my Favourite Stretch of Tarmac is called C.O.P.
Very nice lid indeed.
I wouldn't be afraid to wear it. If it fit.

Hi Cheeky,
Sorry to crap on everything. But having researched the issue of helmets this is the law in NSW, QLD and Victoria(and no doubt the other states); If it is not specifically AS/NZ1698 approved it is illegal to wear it on the street. No ifs, buts, its as good as yada yada. If you need to see the legislation rather than opinion read my recent thread on Helmet (Helmet laws NSW, Qld and Vic) Contrary to some comments the Australian standards are similar to the US Snell standard and perhaps superior to the DOT standard and to the current European standards (the Eu standards are designed for light helmets that only need to withstand one impact). BTW the fine in NSW for not wearing an approved helmet is $$ plus 3 demerit points. Apart from all that its a great looking helmet.
