Still got the Storms on. Had an excellent ride up and down Clyde Mountain today with the Canberra Riders and Les. Was following Tess down the mountain on her CB1000R, no traction problems at all, and chased Cark up Clyde on his CB1300, I know he was trying because he was leaving darkies on the road out of the tighter corners. Again no traction problems, I don't need the Vipers Mk2, the Storms are awesome. Mind you, the Vipers were excellent in the wet (if you can remember what riding in the wet shit that falls out of the sky is, Canberra is deeper and deeper in this drought so we've well and truly forgotten rain riding) have to wait to see what the Storms are like in the wet.

Still no idea what mileage I'll get out of them, I'll report when I finish the rear off.

I'm probably a bit more aggresive with mine than Busdriver and they suite both styles of riding. Les got 14k out of his last ones, I'll be happy to get 7k usable travel. We'll just have to wait and see,. So far so good. Pretty cold down here now and still have no traction problems.

I must say I am very impressed. Trophy The HPXs, even when new never felt as good as these Storms do.

For those running Super Corsas, or Vipers (yes you Max), they may not be as good as them. But if your looking for longer mileage, the Storms are supposed to provide it.

The bus feels nice and stable in a straight line. I'm having so much fun in corners again. I have found them to be "confidence inspiring."Pi_thumbsup

According to the research I've done on rider's sites they are supposed to be very good in the wet as well.

I'll keep you all posted on the wear, but I'm expecting 10K or more from the back alone. Running 42psi front and rear (Avon recommended).
I agree. I had the Azzaro's on my VFR and never had any complaints (also ran Diablos and Bridgies). Just got the Storm-ST fitted front & rear to my Busa and they feel good. have to keep my eye on the mileage, but if I'm worried about kilometres per dollar, I wouldn't have bought a Hayabusa!Lol3

Oh well, I've done a rear Storm. Got 10K out of it and just on the wear indicators. $297 fitted down here at TJ's motorcycle tyres. Had a spirited run down and then back up Clyde mountain a couple of weekends ago, they were brilliant. Considering that I was getting 5K out of the Vipers and 10K out of the Storms for the same money, I'm getting two for one and a great tyre to boot.

Gotta be happy with that.

The last Storm I had put on is a 190. Doesn't turn in anywhere near as sweetly as the Storm in 180. Next time!!

They do that, if it was a Viper, you'd be three quarters of the way through them, the Storms rule.Trophy
