heidi how on earth did you keep riding with such pain in hand? i would have sooked and taken precarious amounts of pain killers.
when i rode my vfr 800 home for frst time from albury i hit a bloody grass parrot. left a good skid mark up the screen that i could never get out.

18 hours on a bike! busgo thats stamina. but i suppose as kids growing up my brothers and i spent most of our lives on the bikes all day everyday.just doing not much at all besides jumps chasing roos ect

Did 4600km in 3 days a couple of years ago on a R1 - rode to Brissy then to the middle somewhere cant remember what the town was, then back to Sydney - my arse was sore for 3 days after and I was totally knackered. Have driven in a car from Syd to Brissy over night - went to the '88 expo all day then drove back with no sleep that was a big one and I was a lot younger :)
Did attempt a 20hour ride once but my mate fell asleep and drove into a car - he was lucky and only broke his leg, I decided that day it wanst worth trying to do those anymore!
Egos; everyone got one

Well I can honestly say that I haven't done many big trips on the Busa yet but I have done the hard yards on my old GSXR1100.

Have ridden across from WA 3 times for 1 x Eastern Creek and 2 x Phillip Island MotoGps.

My last trip across from the west coast to the east coast was few years ago with my mate on another GSXR1100 we were both away for 3 months and what a trip. We put in the hard yards and rode from Kalgoorlie to the Sunshine Coast Queensland in 4 days 1000+K's per day. In saying that those 4 days to Qld the weather wasn't very good to us, it pissed down every day all the way across and I can tell you there's nothing worse than hitting a flooded section of road or two wheel sliding across the wrong lane into an oncoming truck now that got the heart racing.

Once we hit the Sunshine state and why they call it that I don't know but every time I have been to Qld on a bike within 1/2 an hour of crossing the Qld border we have always been rained on. Anyway spent a couple of weeks up and down the coast from Noosa to the Gold Coast, from there we headed down the east coast and took in some very nice roads like the Oxley, the Mighty Snowy Mountains and so on. We visited the reefton and Black Spurr once we got to Melb and then met up with 6 other guys from WA for the Moto Gp at Phillip Island. From there back home via the Great Ocean rd and a stop of up in the Barosa Valley to par take in some wine tasting and between 8 of us we spent 4K on wine and port and then the lovely people at the Yalumba Winery shipped all the goodies home for nothing for us.

All up me and my mate did 30,000k's in the 3 months and can honestly say that I would recommend it to anyone if you got the time there is some fantastic places within Aus and the other reason why we have a bike is the roads. There is roads like you wouldn't believe for the guys that haven't experienced them and some bloody great riding give it ago you'll love it...

2: Whats the most KMs you have done in a day?
3: Whats the longest bike trip you have ever been on?

1. 1699K,s - Chelsea, Vic to Yaraman, QLD Biker
2. 1699K,s - 22 hours straight Idiot2 Young and dumb, but made it home for Charismas day with the family. My brother (10 at the time) often jokes about how he asked for a bike for xmas and when he woke up there was this huge motor cycle in the court and for an brief moment he thought all his dreams had come true until he spotted my old bedroom door open)
3. 3656K,s - Melb, Vic to Yaraman, QLD, then to Liverpool, NSW and back to Melb, Vic Biker
The Dubbo and Liverpool trips where to visit family and friends so they happened as many times as I could during the year, lost count on how many of those Iâ€ve done. Slowed down a bit now though, having done a really long run for a while. I find about 10 or 12 hours in the saddle enough for me, gets to hard after that and I start to lose the enjoyment of the ride. If I do a long ride now I drink as much as I comfortably can to avoid dehydration and to have an excuse to have plenty of breaks to go to the loo. Also, big believer in power naps Pi_thumbsup, find a good road stop, stick the ear plugs in and just relax and nap, makes a world of difference.

When you guys refer to these huge rides what sort of speed are we talking about? Like 130 in a 100? I heard that there are roads with no speed limits, which would those be?

There use to be Deristricted roads, one of them ran from Alice to Ularu, or the town close to it. They were stopped beacuse of the road death's. The one I remember most was the Japanese tourist who smashed up his sports car on a rally and I think thats when the preasure came on to get rid of them.

An easy 607k's, at, or near the legal speed limit.
Could easy do a lot more on the highway,
but this was a nice days ride on the twistys,
a cruisey day out in the saddle.
A comfortable 100k's "ish" between feet-down's.

Just to prove how easy it is to clock up K's,
I had a Grandmother, on her 1st bike, in her 1st year of riding,
on an SV650 that has over 100,000k's do it to...Very Happy
