Hi
Due to my busy schedule I missed moving my registration for the bike to WA. Now it expired this week and I cant get it transfered to WA without a inspection.
I have changed the undertail on mybike will it effect the inspection rest all is almost stock.
Any suggestions

Don't quote me on this Bill but the boys in blue have been tough on FE's in the last few months. The other thing to check out is I thought you normally had 2 weeks grace after the expirey date from memory just a thought.
Last time I spoke with Andrew (hayabusabike) as long as you have a number plate light and a reflector of some sort you maybe OK, Andrew had a small reflector attatched to the bottom of his number plate as he didnt' have a reflector attached to the tail light like the original.
The other option is ask if any of the guys have got an undertail etc to borrow just to get it over the pits and then put it back the way you had it.
Anway someone maybe able to offer some better advice thats been in the situation..

CONTACT THE ROCK AS HE HAS A GEN 1 FOR SALE.
HE MIGHT LOAN YOU HIS REAR RENDER TO PASS THE PITS OR CONTACT DUC13 AS HE HAD TO GO OVER PITS RECENTLY FOR ADVICE.
I WOULD RECOMMEND THE STOCK TAIL LIGHT AS WELL TO PASS IN FLYING COLORS THE 1ST TIME AS THIS WAS SOMETHING THEY PINGED DUC13 FOR.

Hang a piece of rubber from the bottom of your number plate.
That'll fool em.
Might even pass inspection if the lights are in place.

Ah yes Steven, but there is also a law about the mudflap.
See if you can find that one.

+1 on the tail light. they would possibly be looking for the rear facing red reflector which is incorporated under the stock tail light and also a number plate illumination light.
There is no strong performance without a little fanaticism in the performer

Hi Bill. i have a gen1. I normally dont ride my bike during the week so if it is only for a few days you can borrow mine.
I live in south guildford, Revit knows me pretty well.

No in NSW there is a minimum height for mudflaps from rear axle level.

Ok, Im sad, lonely and have far too much time on my hands.
This is what I found (thanks to Perthstreetbike forum) for motorcycles t etc
ref AUSTRALIAN DESIGN RULE 42/04 - GENERAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
14.3.3.1 Rear 'Axle' and Side-car
The wheel guard provided for the rear wheel and for the wheel of any side-car must extend not less than from a point vertically above the foremost part of the wheel rearward to a point not higher than the intersection of the arc of the wheel guard with a line through the centre of the wheel at 45 degrees to a horizontal plane through the centre of the wheel when a mass of 45 kg is distributed in the saddle of the vehicle at its 'Unladen Mass'. parts.
--so back of the rear gaurd (includes mudflaps) to be no higher than a line drawn 45deg from the horizontal from the centre of the rear wheel.
14.3.3.2 Front 'Axle'
Where a wheel guard(s) is provided for the front 'Axle', it must extend not less than from a point vertically above the centre of the wheel rearward to a point not higher than the centre of the wheel or to the point where suitable protection is afforded by the frame or other construction of the vehicle when a mass of 45 kg is distributed in the saddle of the vehicle at its 'Unladen Mass'.
14.4 Visibility of Wheel Guards (Certain Vehicles)
Except when 'Rear Marking Plates' are fitted, for every rear wheel guard affixed to a motor vehicle, or trailer which is 2.2 m or more in 'Overall Width' and which has a body of the tray type, that portion of the external surface of such wheel guard which is visible to the rear of such vehicle must be white or silver in colour and clearly visible.

The law in WA is 45 deg laden with a 60kgs mass IIRC
I have a full gen 1 tail sitting here if you need to borrow it
