What can anyone tell me about the Putty Rd?

Many cops on weekdays? Are there particular areas that they hang out? Are they on the side of the road or moving? Have there ever been road blocks approaching towns?

Apart from the Putty Rd, what are they like on the F3 or other freeways?

And finally has anyone ever known someone to goto Jail straight off the bat for doing 250 kmh+ without having an accident?

Thanks.

Weekday aren't bad itâ€s a lot quieter, weekends you will always nearly find one or more, they give it a hiding on the weekends because so many people keep falling off &, Becarefull near dust & dawn you get Rooâ€s, Deerâ€s & blood big lizards the size of a crocodiles

You get caught doing 250 kmh & over your life will be over as you know it

Yeah, thing is dont buy a Busa if you aint atleast going to do over 200 kmh... Whats the point of having a Busa? I was thinking about this for while and was considering the B-King at the same time.

I mean if you like riding at the speed limit then buy a more purpose built bike... Something naked or even a VFR800 (way better tourer than a Busa imo). Even a BMW is better, last longer, longer service intervals, more comfortable...

However once I got off the B-King then got on the Busa, well my mind was made up. Seriously having a Busa and not riding it fast is like sleeping with a hot chick and not having sex with her.....

Last time I was in NSW it cost me $650 and put me on 11pts, that was only going 30k over the limit. 250 I reckon you'll become mates with a big hairy arsed bugger called Bubba and you'll be his best friend in the exercise yard

Yeah the fines are mad up here.... its like $1300+ if you go 45 kmh over... heck what is that gezzzz 145 in a 100 aint much.

As for the really high speeds, I have never of anyone going to prison straight off the bat...

Actually Putty there have been a few over the past months that have gone to Jail for excessive speed, one in the Hunter valley and one out near Dubbo i think but yep if you ride/Drive at a speed deemed dangerous you will get locked up! no doubt..food for thought as you'd prob lose your job get a new boyfriend and default on any loans you might have...look i'm no saint we all speed but just pick your place obviously the best place to do 200+ would be the track.

my 2 cents

Humbussa, what sort of speeds would they have been doing? like 180 in an 80?

Yeah I realize you have to pick your spots, but I did the Putty Rd for the first time the other day and it was 150 kms of heaven on earth.

Not Sure Putty i think the one out near Dubbo was 170 in a 50 zone and 8 months jail...and the one near newcastle was a fast one ......26 Nov 2008 ... Sean Michael Wynne, 25, was yesterday jailed for four months, ... was detected by radar travelling 244km/h is a 90km/h zone in Newcastle on October 17. ... Wynne speeding along on his red and black Honda CBR 1000 bike. ...but your comment was Quote"And finally has anyone ever known someone to goto Jail straight off the bat for doing 250 kmh+ without having an accident?" these speeds are easy on a Busa so that = easy to go to jail! like i said i'm no saint i love going fast but pick your spots very carefully.

Yeah thanks for your feedback... I guess it was ultra dangerous due to 170 being done in a 50, but it would seem less dangerous if you were doing 230 in a 110 dual lane, say the Hume in the middle of nowhere.

Yeah I understand that the penalties are severe, but I thought this forum would be a great place to find out more about speeding and the stuff, and it has been. I wonder if these guys had been to court before or had similar fines/ speeds in the past...
