After deliberating over changing from Gen I to Gen II, I finally made the judgement call last Sept to upgrade. The emotion of giving up what you personalize, even if it's not the best bike on the block, was hard to fight. We waited 6 weeks from order to delivery of the new K9. From there it has been a wait for one thing after another, but finally after 6 months and 8,500kms from delivery I think I've got the new one personalized to a point of suitable replacement?? (Until the next idea comes along)
Thanx to those of you here on the board who have contributed to the process in the supply of goodies, I'm loving the end result. Ray - The wheels are just looooovely!. Braddo - Thanx mate, I stole one of your idea's last weekend. Some of you other guys, you've also added and thanx.
would just like to say that your bike is simply magnificent hope you enjoy the ride mate

Looks even better than at Nymboida mate.
The black peg hangers and gold wheels really set it off.

i understand what your saying, once you,ve extensively personalised your bike its hard to update to a new stock bike.mine was too far gone to changeover and i,m happy with the results. The wheels look great,i,d be interested in your feedback on how a gen2 steers with light wheels up into the triple digits zone.I found they steer very stable but quite heavy at speed compared to mine,i,m wondering if its the wheels or the rotors being 5mm further apart than a gen1??Gee dude, light wheels, light pipe,I wonder if they do a light tank for one.I know what difference that can all make to a gen1,a gen2 steers better already, you must be smilin every time you tip it into a corner.

Very nice GC!! Those wheels and seats set it off really well. Just remember it was a BLUE and Gold one that was the deciding factor in your switch from Gen 1 to Gen 2

Damn! The man has destroyed a fine example of the rarest busa colour combination ever made... the Black / Purple! (I seem to be making this a consistent theme lately... maybe I need to get a life?)
I will however freely admit that the final product looks damn fine! Great re-build.
Oh well... with one less ... I guess it just makes the Black / Purples even more rare.
Yea as much as i wanted to keep the black and purple the fairings were scratched and not in the best condition, a mate of mine is a spraypainter and did me a deal i couldnt refuse. The black is called wet black and has multi coloured crushed glass effect in the clear coat.
ASTRO we are getting fewer BLACK N PURPLES mate thats why im keeping mine till i die lol
MBP just awsome mate syunning looking paint
