New Ride

Hello all. I have been browsing this forum for a couple of months now
before finally deciding a Busa is for me. So I have sold my old bike
to upgrade and decided to go into my local Suzuki store to order a
09 compliance in black. They have said sorry can only get you an
08 compliance bike but it is an 09 model & colour. So my question is has anyone else had trouble getting an 09 compliance?
Awsome forum by the way. Very informative and helped my decision
alot.

All new Suzuki models are released in the months leading up to the model year of their designation.
Therefore a k8 bike is likely to be built and complianced in 07 and an 09 one built and complianced in late 08. It is just the way it is.
Just be careful that if you buy spares that you specify the model year and not the build year.

Welcome

I got a black k9 in late january, with '08 compliance. I was going to wait for a bike with 09 compliance, but was told by a few dealers that they would be waiting until they had sold the 08 compliance bikes before ordering a new batch...

So I bit the bullet and got one, couldn't wait any longer, and haven't really given it a second thought since. I upgrade my bike atleast once every couple of years.

Maybe try some bigger dealers that might go through more stock?

Good luck Pi_thumbsup

it wouldnt make any difference to resale value as an 09 model will always be considered an 09 even if manufactured say 10/08

Wow. A K9 in black must be very popular. Put my order in and paid
my money. Wont see it until end of May apparently. There are none
left. Shouldn't have sold my old bike so early. Hope its worth the wait.

i was told sept of any year is considered the next years model..

so a bike built before that is say an 08 mod and after sept is an 09 mod..
but try too tell that too a purchaser buying second hand
