Take it on the road and pull the clutch rev it and dump it, say in 2nd or 3rd then see if it revs up and goes no where or sky wood, if its a tooth jumping you should hear it,

Clutches don't slip in low gears, they slip in higher gears when torque load is highest. So get it into 6th and maybe run along at 100Km/hr and give it WOT.
Maybe what you're experiencing is the BLT doing it's stupid thing! Under harsh acceleration it tends to take over from your hand and lock up the clutch when you don't expect it to.

MMM post recall, maybe not a good idea if its the gearbox, than again you don't mind picking up the all the cogs of the road go for it, then at least you will have to fix it Confused

The thing that makes me think it isnt the gearbox is that it jumps in every gear .

this happens in all gears and only when you are holding it flat while making full boost .
started in first ....did it...roll it on in 2nd gear ...does it and so on untill 6th.

So it makes me think its the clutch ???slipping and biting again...dont know.

hope its not the box

If its clutch, your RPM will sky rocket and bike will move at a slow pace and there is no biting again ....in a clutch slippage situation. :)

Cheers,

How are your sprockets? If they are bad, you may get a slip from tooth to tooth?
certainly doesn't sound like clutch or gearbox. Dog clutches either engage or not, they don't re-engage, and certainly not under load.
Any visual shark finning of your sprockets would be a no no and replacements due.

Who rebuilt the gearbox, Ash?

Did this start straight after?

Dogs do jump when worn and in 2nd gear is usually the first gear they start jumping in
Egos; everyone got one

I can see the dogs engaging, then slipping out, but I doubt if they'd re-engage unless you backed off a bit. Under full throttle I doubt if it will re-engage.
