its a pity to knock people for organising rides... pretty sad really
Can't be tall poppy cheekly, more like short poppy syndrome.
You got here maybe two minutes ago , maybe one of those occassions for you not to side with the little guy but watch club politics in action. I'm not knocking him for organising anything - I'm having a reasonably strong shot at his lack of democratic functioning. It's great that he's orgainising anything, I just asked him to include Tallangatta. A reasonably simple request, based on a beautiful place to ride. I don't think location has ever stopped some of the boys, aye Driller and Shredder - they do Queensland to Jindy.
Shame on dictator's, long live democracy. ![Australia2 Australia2](https://www.australian-hayabusa-club.com/MyBB/images/smilies/australia2.gif) ![Australia2 Australia2](https://www.australian-hayabusa-club.com/MyBB/images/smilies/australia2.gif)

As I said earlier. This planned ride is not a hoon event.
It is a ride to a get together.
Kawa, you can organise as many rides as you like mate.

Less talk and more voting (or not voting which is equally as powerful).

Sorry if I have offended you.
Back to the topic... Ray is this the anniversary club run or not?
Your post says it is not, and in the next post cheeky seems to think that it is.
Now without upsetting anybody, my personal view is that all proposed locations be given an equal chance by all members if this is to be the 10th anniversary run.
I have ridden from brisbane to Jindabyne, and will gladly go where the majority vote for the run to happen, but we need to be clear on what we are voting on.

Perhaps time for me to chime in a bit.
Ray (Busgo) put forward some possible of venues to ride to. After his recent trip he suggests 3 locations. He didnt make any mention of making it 'the' annual event but said one could always make it such should 50+ riders book.
It appears his suggestions were purely based on maximising attendees based on geographical locations.
However a few others suggested an additional location to add to the list. Seeing its a desired location requested by a few and reasonable geographic wise I cant see any reason why it must be ruled out alltogether only allowing the proposed 3 locations. I understand the need to have some control but a little flexibility is always required in trying to form concensus. And Max my opinion on some of your comments/accusations to Busgo were below the belt and un-deserved. But I feel you have the right that an extra location that you see reasonable to put forward be considered.
The way I read Busgo's proposal is a calling for a ride that suits attendees from interstate, so I dont think it falls into the "Lets ride" category but rather the location for our annual event. And seeing that this year is a 10th anniversary year makes it necessary to find the "right" location enabling as many to attend.
I have been considering locations for this particular 10th anniv. but as yet have not put them forward. We can approach this in 2 ways. One as Busgo proposes what is the best desired location for an interstate gathering or where would be the best location to hold this years 10th anniv. event? If you think about it, its the same and yet perhaps its not the same and a different mindset might be needed.
Notwithstanding all that I have said above and what has been mentioned so far by all. My thoughts on a 10th anniv. event were perhaps to combine with the annual Snowyride. Whist some may say it would get lost in the other event, I still see some benefits. Past experience has shown us that we never have the numbers to make up a full 2-3 day event filled with activities. But by combining with the annual Snowyride we would be participating in many organised activities as the Hayabusa contingent and yet still able to hold an evening to ourselves celebrating the 10th anniv.
The idea of Hayabusas gathering for an annual event in my opinion is not the ride or hooning one may do at such an event. We can do that all year round and with a select few best suited. So imho its all about the meet and putting names to faces and building comraderie so we know who were talking to when addressing someone on this forum.
Anyway some things for you all to consider.

Nice words Volvi.
Thanks for clearing that up.
I thought that the 10th year may have slipped by and didn't want to commit to a major event.
My ride will still be on regardless - unless there are not enough takers.
My rides are not charity events or for any other purpose but to enjoy some riding and partying with fellow members and their friends.
@M8EE and others. Cheeky's comment about this being a 10th year ride was my fault because I mentioned the occurrence when I met her last week.

Ok. At Volvi's request I have added Tallangatta to the run options. However it is not my intent to organise a run to Tallangatta at the times I have suggested.
Any other member is quite welcome to organise a run to Tallangatta if they wish.
I would prefer that it didn't clash with my planned run though if possible.
I suppose that I should have taken an extra 10 seconds to think of a title for my poll.

Thanks Volvi as usual a voice of clarity.
It may just come down to my perception but I read the original post to be for the busa annual ride especially with the mention of Jindabine. Thats why I personally objected to the way any other venues were dismissed out of hand.
If the ride Ray suggests is not the annual get together then I have no problem at all it can be on the moon for all I care.
To those that jumped in here with offensive comments please open your eyes before your mouth. If you dont know what your talking about dont add comment.
Peace all.

I also mentioned Nymboida and other QLD overnighters as regular rides.
Seems people read what they want to read and not what is written.
I think that I may be entitled to a couple of apologies for a change.
