Thx a lot for all the encouragement and good wishes from youse guys, believe me it helps to get you back on track.

I didnâ€t really give a shit about loosing my job, I was only surprised I didnâ€t get sacked for insubordination earlier than it happened, I always knew managers didnâ€t like it when I told them to get stuffed, but following stupid orders was more than I could stand any longer.

I was planing on a tour of Tassie during autumn and then FNQ in winter so it just means that FNQ comes first now.

Hopefully Iâ€ll be in Queensland by the end of the week on the road to recovery, donâ€t know how long it will be till I can ride again.

Got a couple of pics, the one of my foot doesnâ€t show much but I can tell you there were some beautiful colours under those bandages.

The one of the tube in my chest was put in because they couldnâ€t find any more veins in my arms. I had so many bloody drips etc. Partly my fault as well because one night I woke up in a morphine stupor in what I thought was an abandoned warehouse tangled in wires, whoops there goes all my drips ;-)

Also that tube went straight into my heart and is apparently pretty rare these days as all the nurses gathered around to set it extracted. Freaked me out when I saw the length of the damn thing that came out.

Buy a lottery ticket...it's gotta turn for the better soon. recover well. I know what you mean when they're looking for veins, as result of a T-bone on my Paso 906 in '98 I had broken arm, broken leg and some cut and abrasions, drips all in the other arm,the only place left for daily blood tests was top of the foot - I hated those bloody test every morning!

I've lived in SEQ from Noosa to Surfers for about 10% of my life, it's a great place so I'm happy to go back. Besides I'm a bit sick of the concrete jungle and want to spend some time with some of my other friends... the gum trees ;-)

Sorry we didn't get to meet personally Pan, but I have appreciated your virtual friendship.

PS I'll still have to follow the cockroaches in the origin.

Finally got a look at my XRays the other day, bloody hell they put in about a dozen screws and other bits and pieces. Going to see the bone doc tomorrow so hopefully will find out how much more boredom I have to endure, wouldn't mind so much if I could just go for a ride, that would be so much fun but the closest I get for now is reading Two Wheels from cover to cover. Hope somebody's had some fun on the road or the track ;-)

Sounds like you did your best to save the busa from hitting the deck but did it work? A speedy recovery for you. I guess a foot problem was the last thing you needed. Was it at least the same one?
