Marie and thanks for sharing all that great stuff with us.
Normally I would move your intro into our newbies folder but with all this great content, I think it is best left up in the general area.
I hope you enjoy the forum for all it has to offer.

Good luck with the "GO FAST" stuff. What a thrill to be able to do that.

OK so I'm like 7 hours ahead of you.
I'm getting ready to build a wheel/tire balancer and as soon as I get started I'll post up some pics. I didn't realize that stck factory wheels are niether round or balanced! Most factory wheels are cast then center drilled for axle bearings rotors and then the wheel rim is centered around the drilled center. So while the wheel is round on the tire mounting surface and it's true and straight to the axle the wheel rim and spokes may not be! When SRAD showed me how to strip the wheel lips and polish them on our 96 SRAD I was astounded how far out of round the inside(part that is polished) edge of the rim was! so I am going to strip my wheels down and balance them bare, then put my tires back on and balance them again hoping to get closer to round and closer to balanced. I'm building my own balance stand and I'll have pics pretty quick of it
