What a great weekend, Big Clapto Ray for putting it together. Sometimes these little things go unnoticed. Shame we didnâ€t get a single member from Victoria to go. When I last checked the membership numbers, they seemed represent a large percentage of members. Seems very strange that not a single one could get away that weekend. Please Ray don't let this discourage you I for one will make sure I would never miss a Jindy weekend.
Good to catch up with the guys from Queensland. Big effort to travel so far. (Although I think next time I will bring the boxing gloves, get in a bit of speed ball practice: icon_box_ :) and Max what happens in the PLANT room stays at Jindy: scary:

What does it matter where someone comes from?
Bgone and Mrs B came from VIC so there was representation there.
The sorry situation was that so many intended to go but didn't. Doesn't matter where they didn't come from IMO.
I'm sure that those newbie members that came along all loved it regardless of the weather and the lack of numbers but such a big venue needs the numbers.

The location is not important, it is the attendance that matters and that is being hurt by the consistant bad weather in the snowy mtns.
I'll be pushing for a new location next time.
The clash with the annual Snowy Ride is hurting this event and the only way to avoid that is to relocate and reschedule.
"If time catches up with you. You're going too slow!"

Yeh thanks, witness. I would nt mind a different location just to give the majority a chance not to travel so far next year. I reckon somewere near the Oxley would be a good LOOP. And i think we left someone in the plant room?? I think ???

Perhaps this way weather permitting more people can complete the designated ride of the trip and not just the trip there.

Ditto thanks to ray for arranging a great weekend.

My preference would be another date so I wouldnt need to choose between the Snowy ride and jindy ride.

Cheers

I didnt mean just this year loafie,it happens every year, the weather on saturday at jindy often keeps people indoors when the weather is often different by adaminaby, and different again by cabramurra and different by kancoban, and different by thredbo. The roads are great but the weather is a lottery. If the idea of the ride is to get people coming from all parts to all enjoy the same roads together, jindabyne has failed miserably over the last 4 years at least.Socially as a get together its a great success each year.Is trying to organise a ride hoping for both, expecting too much?

so did we sunshine, we waited till the ambo and police came and directed traffic. We didnt need 10 or more blokes to hold there hand, and i think some just didnt even try to do the loop at all.
Jindy Loop Jindy Loop Jindy Loop

and just to put a couple of things straight we organised a little charity for the fallen and also Glenn, Garry and me sorted the room cost for Chris. See when u say "looking after our mates that needed our help" it sounded like we f****d off and left them, but we were already goooone and we came back to help,, sunshine.

A big "thank you" to Ray - the (taller good looking one) for the effort he put in to getting the Station Resort booked and information sent to us all on this site.
I was one of the early supporters for having the annual run at Jindabyne, being a little central for the Mexicans and the NSWelshmen and ladies while being pretty tough for the Banana Benders. I now have to change that to another location. Mind you, last weekend was incredibly wet right across New South Wales and Qld. We'd have gotten wet whereever we were. We just wouldn't have had the snow and ice to contend with as the "loop Riders" did.
The last Jindy was noticably short of Mexicans, and we did miss their rather special repartee and inability to handle their drinks. Will they come to the Oxley? we are considering having Mudgee as a base and riding the Oxley, Thunderbolts etc, the only complicating factor being the NSW Police.

Thanks again Raymond. Great effort across the years which were appreciated mate.

Cheers
