In response to another post on this topic I am going to put up an imaginary scenario and I want people to vote anonomously on wether they would run or would they stop and face the music. The scenario is completely ficticious.

You are riding along at the sedate speed of 160km/hr in a 60 zone, being an idiot for some unknown reason. You go through an active school zone at 200km/hr, and whammo, the plod is in the middle of the zone. You see the lights go on, you know this is the moment. Do you

a) Know you're screwed anyway, hit the gas and take your chances with everybody on the road.
b) Pull over, minimise your losses and cop it on the chin, knowing you really have no excuse.

when all the votes are in , can you make a part 2 - this time your doing the 160 on open road ... freeway then you see cop in centre strip ....

and give a few more options .....

for me --- i would NEVER do that speed though built up area or even less chance though a school zone .....

b). In my more stupid years I've done a) a few times, and it was more stress and hassle than it was worth.

Although I'm left scratching my head, why I'd be stupid enough to do those sort of speeds in a built up area like that. I deserve the punishment either way.

No worries mate, I'll let this one run for a few days and then post another poll based on the open road with no traffic etc. What other options do you want. I can only see two, run or stop. The only other options I can put in based on your fuel load.

Already done 2 x 2 week stint in Yatala jail SA for alleged offence (80ks max - 400m return trip) so the correct answer is "A" They will try to F**K you with as many charges as they can - by the way (6pm daylight savings/Sunday nite/ no one on the back road)-Not whinging , just informing!

Assuming full throttle held non-stop on a Gen I with no mods, about 120 km according to some rough calculations.

I would argue though if a rider couldn't find somewhere to hide in 120km of travel, they probably weren't smart enough to get away with running anyway.

Running's dumb, but then doing those speeds in built up area would appear to be dumb. But it is not unheard of ! Most likely pull up and cop it ( probably up the ar#e!)

about the scenario run or stop did anyone hear about the guy who ran this morning check out the daily telegraph on the net and check out the video then you tell me whether to run or not just putting it out there ?
