Northern NSW River Rampage....2007

Glad to hear you're home safe Shane.

I must apologise for leaving out Linda in the 4 X 4 and trailer from the rollup.. I am really glad you came in the truck and I'm especially glad that we didn't need it.

Yes there was an inicident involving a Rocket and a mountain road covered in manure. A quick 360 and a couple of scratches on the crash bars was the only damage.

I'm afraid its not a big enough venue for that PAN.
It only sleeps about 50 if everyone shares beds.

A selection of my photos will be up in the Club Photos thread soon.

I have also written a full report on the trip and will be sending it in to a popular bike mag. Hopefully they will publish it.

WOW what a weekend. The Sydney crew (Taubusa & Cherylbusa) finally made it home safely at 7pm last night. We had a fantastic weekend and would like to that Ray (Busgo) for organising the rampage and everyone who came along for making it a great ride and weekend. The accommodation was excellent and every room had a spa which was a welcome addition after along days riding. Yesterday’s ride down the Oxley Highway from Armidale to Wauchope was the best ride I have ever done. There was 6 bikes (5 Busa’s and 1 BMW) who made the ride and after refuelling at Walcha we set off through a very fast 50km before the road narrows and gradually gets tighter and tighter. The first 50km the 5 Busa,s smoked the BMW (Sorry Mike had to put that in) before hitting the twisty’s and stopping for lunch at Gingers Creek. Then it was off down the hill again for another 45km’s off beautiful winding road and then down into the flats and into Wauchope. It was here we refuelled and said our goodbyes as the group split up at Kew to go our separate ways. Thanks once again for a memorable weekend and we will definitely be in for next years run only this time I am having the extra day off. See you all next year. Cheers Mark

Good set of photos there Mark.
That last one was at Armidale Airport where we got our low flying certifications authorised.

Don't forget the ZX12R who scrubbed his rear tyre to shreds on the way down the Oxley as well. Those Pilot Sports don't last long while 2 up at the rate we travelled most of the weekend.

In celebration of PAN's birthday yesterday some guys were writing little ditties to wish him well.

For those who went on the Rampage here is my reply.

"Avast me m8ee and Astroboy
My eyes shall never see
Another bike as fast and sleek
as Braddo and his toy.

He knuckled down and went so fast
the beemer man gave in
The kwaka was delayed a tad
when the rubber started slidin.

So make some wishes while you can
You'll need help to stay around.
The man from Lake Macquarie
Is fast when gettin down.

YeeHaa go the red blacks."

Mind you, aBUSa, could have wiped us all up, even with his low profile Shinkos front and rear.

That sounds like some sort of a challenge!! - I'll go riding with Brad again anytime, without the missus on the back. ( Just be gentle with me Brad, give me half an hour before you make me look like a P plater.) He must go alright at it, the beemer was not mucking around by anyones standards.

Garbo here, what a top ride!! 3 days,1700k's. Brad is a maniac when he hits the gas.I can still see him passing that road train thru the twisties on the oxley. Nothin like Busa Power! Mike on the beemer(special K) gave us all a run for our money. Those red/black bikes are rather common.Go the blue/silver!! Awesome ride and good people. I'm in next year, or sooner. Next ride though the missus will be riding, not driving. Thanks again to you all.
