Northern NSW River Rampage....2007
#1
It is on again, see page 5 of the discussion for 2007 details.
The following details are for the 2006 ride.
I am organising an overnighter at Nymboida, on Waterfall Way between Grafton and Ebor.
This is dead set BUSA KINGDOM.
The road through Nymboida used to be a dirt track but has been sealed for about 2 years now and is top twistie country.
You can get there from North or South via the Pacific Hwy OR from the west via either the Gwyder Hwy from Glenn Innes or Waterfall Way from Armidale.

I have confirmed with the Motel that the night of 1ST April, yes April fools day, is currently vacant.
They have 8 riverside rooms with 2 queen beds in each for $99 per night and 7 Mountainside rooms with a combination of 1 queen bed and either 1 or 2 pairs of bunks in each room for $89 per double and $40 extra for additional adults.
A single taking a room alone is $79.
Every room has a spa and continental breakfast is included.
There is a Bridal suite for $110 if anyone is feeling romantic.

I may be booking in for the Friday night as well so that I can do the Gwyder, New England, Waterfall Way loop on the Saturday. AWESOME.400km.

Please book direct with Diane at the Nymboida Coaching Station Inn on 02 66494126 if you want to be there. Phone bookings require a $20 deposit per room.
Please post up here if you have booked in so that I can keep track of how many rooms may be left.

Any idea when Easter is? It doesn't clash, does it?

No clash PAN.
Good Friday is 14th April.
Get your Sydney mates together and book a couple of rooms to share.
If you can take the Friday off, we can meet at Gloucester to do Thunderbolt's together on the way up.

Ray,
I want to go but will have to leave it till a lot closer to the date to confirm work commitments. Bruce

See here, young man, from Walgett to the sea,
From Conroy’s Gap to Castlereagh, there’s none can ride like me.

That's why I got the ride up early Bruce.
To give people time to plan.
Hope you can make it.
I've left a message for Driller to catch up as well.

I'm like Bruce. Having plenty of work doesn't necessarily mean I can plan ahead with contract work. I'll know closer to the date too...

Also need to check out when Orthodox Christian Easter is. It's sometimes the same, but usually different to the Western Easter...

Would be interested hear from anybody else living in Paradise (Brisbane) that may be interested in the Nymboida ride. It's a tough call riding so far south, but we need to see how the other half live some time. The Walcha ride Ray put together was a ripper and I will plan on making the Nymboida trip if I am in Oz 1 April.

Garbo, Helen won't know if she is coming till a week or two before. Thanks to Linda for the offer. I hope we won't need the trailer but its good to know.

I forgot to mention that the Nymboida is one of the best White water rafting rivers in Australia in case anyone wants to give it a go.

I forgot to mention that if you ring the motel to book, you need to mention that you are with the Hayabusa Club or they might tell you they are booked out for that night.
