Ok, I'm home. We are sitting at Max's house, and I'm not sure about the others, but I'm dying to get on the road. We were all sorry yesterday morning when we geared up for the last time, and entertained ourselves for the first few hours practising all our new circus tricks, things to to when riding a bike for many hours at a time.
We crossed the boarded into Victoria. Bruce's Mum said if you have nothing good to say about something, just say nothing at all. Albury was lovely. The sky cleared and the temp went up 10 degrees. We opened the throttles for the first time in two days, Bruce flung himself off the bike on the Murray Bridge and kissed the ground. Cars were weaving and swerving, assuming the pope had a new and groovy form of transport. The trip up the Hume was boring, only made more interesting by the continuous roadworks. Gave us loads of time to practise standing on the pegs and seeing who we could overtake. The plan was to go along the Great Ocean Road, but the fog and rain belted us by the time we hit the bottom of the road. We struggled on, but Bruce's tyres are so badly squared off, his bike was uncontrollable in the corners. It was scary to sit behind, I can't begin to imagine what it was like to ride. We've been discussing what was the most intersting part of the trip. The riding was fantastic, the bikes were brilliant, the scenery was indescribable. We took a heap of photos, but they just don't do the place justice. But the best thing was the people we met, when ever we were in trouble, nothing was too much trouble for them to help us and everyone had an interesting story. The other thing we appreciated was the support from the club. Thanks guys, it has been amazing. Take care HEIDI xxx P.S. Bruce and Simmo are on their way home with the escort. If you see a flock of busas, give them a wave.

Well Heidi, Bruce & Simmo you have done us all proud and what a read it must have been a lot of fun and yes I would have to agree with Pommie I'm little envious of you all and it got the blood flowing wanting to another ride across our great country but that maybe a way off.
Anyway once again a Awesome read and a great achievement to you all and hope the BBQ went down well to bring the trip to an end.

I left Canberra at noon with the "not so handsome threesome" after a night on the turps listening to all the stories.
We had a very late start today due to the need to share photographs and let the alcohol dissipate from the systems. However I had the run back to Port Stephens to get into and said my farewells at the border. I did see a blurr of busas go past while I was stopped at Pheasant's nest servo for a late lunch and the F3 was absolutely crawling with the fun police in cages and on bikes. Anyway I'm back and I assume the rest are having a long bath at each of their homes. A big thanks to Madmax for chucking a big welcome home BBQ for the travellers and the rest of the crowd last night. Cheers.
