Good on ya Heidi, Simmo & Bruce you've done bloody well. and thanks for entertaining read.
Oh by the way Sunday night here in West Aus got down to around the 1 degree mark for the people in the east so was damn cold and the cool weather come in pretty early on night shift so knew all about it.
The weather well this time of years is very unpredictable but hey they have survived and made it through to Collie which was probably colder than Perth.
This has been an awesome thread to read and have enjoyed the memories that it has brought flooding back of some trips of done across and back.
Once again a big for Heidi, Simmo & Bruce they have done bloody well so go the spirit, when you put ya mind to it you can get anything done..
PS - have a safe trip across the nullabour and that can also get very windy with rain so hopefully the weather will stay good for ya.

Pan, That tree is behind Bruce is on the northern side of the Tonkin Highway, just around the corner from the Roe Highway. is that proof enough?
By the way, I rode about 100kms that evening to catch up with them all and escort them through Perth, and in that time I was freezing! They'd been out in it for hours before me and still had a couple to go to get to Collie, which is always a degree or two lower than the rest of the southwest. Hats off to them for the effort!

Oh, THAT tree?! Tonkin Highway. Of course. How could I have missed it?
I'm sorry I ever doubted them...
Pan, I'm with you. I think I need a little more proof also. I'm half thinking that they are holed up in the Forster Caravan Park, chain smoking and drinking 4 packs of West Coast Coolers.
What is the point in travelling all around the country if you don't bother to get your photo taken infront of the Big Pinapple/Prawn/Banana/Oyster ect?????
mmmmmmm....

Great riding guys and gal.
Glad to see that you have managed to make your way at least 3/5ths of the way around this great brown land. It's definately a once in a lifetime event.
Hope all else goes well, that you get a nice tailbreeze across the Nullabore back to the Eastern Seaboard.
BTW, local news flash, for those of you who have been away.
Another couple of drive by shootings, the M5 tunnel crapped out electronically again, and this weekend just gone was HOT HOT HOT!!! Lastly, stay OUT of helicopters!!!

Once in a lifetime ???? No way! When they get back they'll be setting up the Oz version of Pashnit Tours. There will be a number of around Australia cannonball type packages on offer, such as...
1) The "I get overtaken by grey nomads towing caravans" 24 day tour
2) The "I'm a snivelling, weak, incontinent pussy" 21 day tour
3) The "Soft arse, limp wristed" 18 day tour
4) The "If simmo can do it, so can I !" 14 day tour.
5) The "I refuse to be outridden by a red-headed sheila" 10 day tour
6) The "Balls the size of Watermelons" 7 day tour
All guests undertaking tours of 14 days or less receive these exciting free extra's...
- A complimentary bucket of No-dose
- A testicle truss or steel reinforced sports bra - both options colour coded to your bike
- A 60% rebate on accommodation (you didn't really think you'd have time to sleep... right?)
- Our limited edition T-Shirts...
For the ladies : "I rode so far, so fast, for so long - I wore off my map of Tassie!"
For the men : "Never asked for directions! Not even once! Never knew where I was either!"
For their loved ones : "I'm with stupid!"
Prices and departure dates will be advised as soon as we come up with more politically correct tour names.
