First of all congrats to Glenn for getting a PB of 9.498 @ 147.62mph, its your shout! Four runs in total for the night, Glenn ran very consistently, his slowest being a 9.581! More work on that 60 footer needed Glenn and that ET will improve. A really excellent time for a gen1 and makes my 9.57 seem rather slow. Not sure what the HD wheelie bar boys did because the time boards still donâ€t work but it certainly was the fastest non bar bike run for the night.
Jamie has taken possession of the RAPID gen2 Busa for a time and looks set to make it perform before he hands it back. Itâ€s one of those “Friday built” units; ie it just does not seem to have the urge of other examples. He has had it down the strip two tenths quicker than the journos managed which proves that rider counts. Watching Jamie stage you see just how much he asserts dominance over the bike, I like his style.
Finally it was good to see Glenn and Jamie run together twice, it became a battle of the Gen1 versus Gen2, with some close order racing to be watched. Seldom seen at WSID because Simmo and Glenn both suffer from a right lane phobia so seldom go head to head.
I was way off the mark with my reaction time but got my data logging sorted so a win for me.

BTW which way do you think the Jamie vs Glenn runs went????

Thanks chris.I do wish to thank chris as my technical director/sounding board for my constant thoughts and ideas on different combinations and theories,we all have our talents in different areas and as they say 2 heads are better than one, eh simmo.(simmo owns a gen2 so just gets the scraps,just kidding)Secondly i,d like to thank rob at RC tuning at moorebank for his dyno tuning abilties on my busa and for keeping an open mind about some of my ideas in relation to tuning for the track on the dyno.The tuning and finally fixing my long standing fuel supply issues have this baby rockin.I doesn,t make any more horsepower than before,its HOW it delivers that horsepower that counts.I almost forget what a gen2 tail light looks like.I,m sure simmo will remind me soon enough,i don,t hate the look of it anymore anyway.
