What are the best weight saving mods for a Hayabusa?
Lets imagine that money is no issue and carbon fiber and/or kevlar is a high interest factor. What have you guys seen that can be replaced for CF on a busa. No limitations on price so if frames and swingarms are possible I want to know.
Those of you who have seen me should not mention me going on a diet as a weight saver 
There is no strong performance without a little fanaticism in the performer
carbon fibre wheels,titanium exhaust,alloy subframe,jmc swingarm,ceramic rotors,titanium axles,bolts throughout,kevlar tank,titanium rear shock spring,rearsets,triple clamps,headlight,sprocket,tyres,carbon bodywork or fibreglass depending on manufacturer will depend on weight saving.You can drop 30kg pretty easy but the busa will never be as light as a gixxer 1000,but you can get within about 20kgs of one for the price of 2 gixxers.

**Thinking** has anyone put a turbo busa engine in a Gixxer frame?

It might not be all cf but changing the stock exhaust system for an after market will loose you upwards of 8 kilos.

If its a Gen11 it would be cheaper to go forged magnseium which is approx 2 kgs heavier than carbon but approx $1200 less in $$ weight.
And OPP have never got any bits when u want them.

carbon fibre wheels,titanium exhaust, ceramic rotors,kevlar tank and a Turbo will do for me. rest I will reduce my body weight.

Not Busa to gixxer, but several yrs a go & mate of mine put a NOS gixxer1000 into a gixxer 750 frame.
Went pretty well.
very nimble.
Also had the quick changer on it.

I got an old Rapid Mag where a bloke put a Busa turbo into a Gixxer 750 frame...

I had a gixxer 750 and was under the impression the only major difference was the engine...ie that the frame was the same for both?
Also...i'm on my own weight saving mission....been sick and havn't eaten for 3 days now...working a treat...

Found this. Its not turbo'd but at least you know the Busa motor will fit. Nice .. err .. swing arm too
