Well Busa Boy I was in a simular situation just recently with my 93 GSXR1100. I thought about keeping it but to keep the ministry of piece happy I asked the shops what they would give me and they weren't to accommodating with price as I had modified the bike and it wasn't original. So I had a look around, went and had a look at some 2nd hand ones and then sold it myself and got the price I wanted.

If Iwas to do it over again I would do exactly the same go into the shop with the money and do a deal on the new bike and then sell the old one yourself as you will certainly do better price wise.

i also went to Witch rockingham Suzuki dealer ( WA) to buy the last LTD busa he had in stock, however they weren't interested in talking about price reduction or throwing in extras to make the sale. there attitude is, Pay full price or the bike stays in the shop, plenty of other people are willing to pay full price.
Guess what, I went and bought one from a dealer in Qld, now I have to ride it home, should be a fun trip to remember.

End result is that they will miss out on the sale of those little extra nick knacks, helmets, exhaust, jackets etc and regular bike servicing, all for the sake of a couple of hundred dollars of the RRP.
That's enough bitching for now, when is our next ride going to be??

Dave I was in there the other day and I got the impression that he is not interested in selling the LTD anyway, I reckon he's going to keep it for himself.

Hope you have fun going the lovely state of QLD to pick the bike up and have a safe trip home, not sure about the time of year though it can get pretty blowie out by the bite so take care.

Busa Boy you'll love it, over here in WA I have never had comments about a bike like I've had with this one, the amount of poeple that have pulled up at the lights and have commented has been very surprising and that's including females. I have had a lot of females in the street comment. It is actually a really good feeling to have when you have something that seems to draw attention like these LTD's do.

Jesarse u guy's are harsh! I pick up a white K8 next Wednesday, I'll pick it up in the ute & bring it back to my shop where it will be pulled down, the wheels will be getting painted and polished, Triforce 4into 1's full titanium, pc, Evo perf' Fender eliminator, Dubble bubble screen, Gel seat(which I have just been told are crap!, will hide it with my AirHawk) The fairings are getting Bundy's head airbrushed on to them. Ventura rack & Bag (Only because I don't Know any other bastard who makes a decent rack for them!) Have ordered my new no. plate, "DOGGI" my other plate"DOGGY" is still on my Gen1 Copper 'Busa which I am keeping. I will run it in on my dyno' after the mod's take place, I will post up photo's etc and dyno' results, 190rwhp should be a reasonable figure to look for!. My intention is not to bling it too much, but to just personalise it a little.
Why did I choose white, Because Bundy is a Blue heeler and very dark, she will stand out against white!. My personal choice would have been Blue with gold rims!!. It's a bit rough when ur dog chooses the colour

On a sadder note though. I have heard that the new road laws introduced Austalia wide starting on the 1st July2008 forbid the carrying of dogs on motorcycles.
(Not sure of the details mate).

Hi Busgo, I will be posting up some stuff on the new laws, briefly, the RTA as a kneejerk reaction to no animals on the laps of car drivers have decided in their wisdom with no consultation with those concerned or realising the vast differences in the controls of a car and the controls of a bike, nor may I add, in their own admission, have no statistical proof that animals between the rider and the H'bars cause accidents, have decided to make it law, No animals on the tank. At this point I have media backing and at the very least, may get an exemption. I will keep everyone informed.
4day's to go, but I'm not counting!!!
