Great idea for when the pins and needles kicks in........

The cheapest way it to modify the fast idle (Choke).

I can pull back on the fast idle now and cruise around 120 klm/h.

And the cost. Lunch at my place for Rev!

You can have it for free on the 99 to 07 models
just do the fast idle mod
lift the tank bend the flap back on the side of throttle bodies so that
the lever goes all the way forward past the stop .
job done Will allow cruise now up to about 140Ks.

This is done with throttle bodies on bike pics are just for show.
No need to remove any cables etc just lift the tank
Use a pair of pointy nosed pliers & just squeeze it together job done.
You could undo the screw but it wont achive the same result.

Warnings 1 watch the position of lever on cold start up now as the rpm will rise higher than normal so adjust the positionm to suit.
2 dont forget you have it on when you try to stop

This is probably a dumb question, but,
What does the "choke" lever do anyway???
Does it just increase the idle speed???
Or does it actually alter the fuel mixture like an ordinary choke???

On a busa, all it does is pull on the accelerator mechanism.
It is just meant to be an idle adjuster to allow you to warm the bike up properly.

Thanks for the information guys, done the mod today. Reving out at just over 6000rpm, havent taken it for a test ride yet but its looking good.

After riding up the freeway to Taree and back on the weekend I had to do this mod for the return trip to save my wrist and it was great.

My bike now runs at 110kph, so I can relax a little and not have to worry to much about speeding

All sounds well for highway but how is it around town with such high revs
