Sydney WSID Wednesday nights
simmo Wrote:Nipped a bit off my PB, running 3kg of lead up front now, its may need a bit more but I don't want to weigh the bike down to much Confused
I need to get my 60 foots down on this thing
The bike still tends to go Skywoods not as bad now, I had to drop the rear tyre to 15psi later in the night to hook up
9.433 1.641 @ 150.28

good work simmo, i think the 1000 might need some of that weight in the front too, should have the air shifter next time i come down, and i think ive fixed the tank slapping issues with a new ohlins damper, by the way where did u get that little compressor to pump up ur shifter bottles from?

Its a nice confidence booster to back up.Well done .Now get your 60,s down rob, your not riding it as well as a gen1 yet.You have a very fast bike there,it,ll be interesting to see how fast you can ride it.You can always do what i did, give it to alex for a night.Very HappyIts still amazing speed for a stock engined bike though,it,ll take awhile to accept it as the norm, definately a big step forward.

So much to test, so little runs before winter.Pi_freakGreat results of the bat, now for the harder to find gains.ConfusedI suppose if it was straightforward, the track always prepped and we got 12 runs a week wed probably have a new bike every 6 months, just as well the busa only comes out every 8 years.I,m trying something different this week and will stick with it for a while. My 9.5 style run was very hard on the clutch and would cause excessive maintenaince and inconsistent times.Back to making it easier to ride.I think its safe to say chris noticed a difference with the stacks.Lol3

Cheers & Beer
Rapid K8 bike with different riders has been out about 5 times now, stock everything some Guy got down to 10.1 last week but he could ride, Alex (Youngblood on this site) has had 10.2s he may even got a 10.01 also, he is also a good drag racer he has the drag bike for sale in the for sale section.

They were getting better times at first with the 14, I think high 10.2's vs 10.4's for the busa. I think that they ended up going quickest with the busa. They seemed to agree that the busa has a much more "willing" motor than the 14! The 14 may be easier to get down the 1/4 mile than the busa.
