Just got in from a real enjoyable ride, only thing to spoil it was the state of the roads in NSW, more particularly the road from Kyogle to Murwullimbah. Once out of Kyogle itself seemed like almost every sharpish corner had soddin great potholes, in it or bloody great lumps sticking up. Not only real uncomfortable but downright dangerous. Do you have crappy roads like this, oh yeah another grizzle, Nerang Murwullimbah Rd there are now sections of loose gravel that you aren't warned about. Going into your corner 80kmp/h and hey presto...gravel on the other side. (Great if your constipated) And they wonder why there are so many bike accidents. Fix the farkin roads up a bit. Apart from that a cool 500km in glorious countryside. Does the soul good after all the rain here

This little geezer reckons theyre great to hang around in but I dunno there seems to be a wee ripple on that bend.

My brother on a visit reckoned our roads were so nice that he was prepared to make an armchair outa them.

All in all I have to say our Victorian roads by and large are great.

I finally got a chance to hit the Putty Rd in NSW today with the GEN II.
From Broke down to the Half Way House and back again the road is in SUPERB condition with hardly any obstacles to speak of over the 80 odd ks in each direction.
The new bike is a real HOOT to get into and handles the twisties with so much ease and confidence. At pace the new model feels and is much quicker in the tight stuff than the GEN 1 and believe me, those new brakes, suspension and tyres work a treat in stock trim.
Getting back on the subject of bad road surfaces though, there are some shockers out there and the constant rain has only made it worse in a lot of cases.
"If time catches up with you. You're going too slow!"

Hi there,
By and large the roads in NSW are shit. In Sydney itself there are potholes and ripples everywhere and one way of guaranteeing never having children again is to ride the length of Parramatta Road.
Out in the country it is mixed. When I last did the Oxley run the road was ok. Parts of the Putty from Windsor to the Half Way house are also ok, but others are shit.

The roads around Tallangatta are a bit congested at the moment.
About 600odd Ullysees riders here for a meeting/party.
Cant really blame them. We have the best roads around here for bike riding, and on some back roads I can ride for over an hour at well over the ton without seeing a car, let alone a cop. Just need to look out for cattle, roos and the odd wombat at dusk and beyond.
Oh, and farmers wearing hats on tractors!!!, and snakes, and dogs . . . did I mention cows?
I don't want a pickle . . .
well we have a road called Parramatta road, I took my zx14 on it few times and since then it makes funny noise, you def need a cross or a 4wd for that road, noting else
