Yer, the busa was crowned the winner there. I have no qualms admitting that the 2008 busa is the most powerful stock bike at this point in time. I don't know what the future holds. Its really coming down to personal preference.

that article also showed a 20lb weight difference between the busa & the 14 so it seems the 08 is a bit of a pig.

The zx14 definately has a big edge over Gen 1 busa's but you can even that up with turbo etc. Its coming down to comfort vs handling, etc.

The 14 & 08 busa are neck & neck powerwise. Comfort goes to the 14 hands down, brakes to the 14 hands down, aerodynamics to the busa, etc etc etc...they all have their strong points.

if you loose those HEAVY exhausts you have plenty of kg loss on the 08 busa,that why busa is FURTHER in front of the ZZR(ZX14??)is it called ZX14 in oz? here its ZZR1400

Both the 08 zx14 & 08 Busa have massive stock exhaust system to meet stringent emission requirements. Both systems weigh around 38lbs... or close to 17kg....WHOPPING MOFOS!

In the 07 models you could often do away with the cats & all other restrictions simply with good slip-ons but there are also catalytic converters in the header pipes now. MADNESS i say, how about leaving the frucking bikes alone ay.

cant test max speeds and low speeds yet because i have done 400km only,i need to wait till i get 2000km on the speedo...
