Richard mentioned this to me last night. ive got a 99 havent had a kick back problem so far but seems as tho my battery is on its way out. what sorta cost is it to replace with late model starter stuff? what exactly do i need? or would i be fine with jsut the titanium sleeve thingy and a more powerful battery?
Regards

Thats why the gen 2 busa only has puny single valve springs and matching lightweight titanium valves, me thinks, so that it can still get away with 12volt starting.

surely you cant bore out a 1300 to a 1600+. I seriously doubt that they build the engine walls that thick on a bike motor.....

the max the stock block will take is 85mm >>>>> after that they are custom blocks which have offset bores///// with stroked cranks the capacity grows quickly to 1600cc and above

I think that the bike in question here may be the one I read a bout a while ago. Its the TTS 1600 and its bore/stroke is 84/71.5mm, it puts out 222hp @ 10,750rpm and 120 ft-lbs @ 7,250rpm.

Hey Gazza, +1 also here.

What parts do we need to upgrade the 99/02 model starter system to the 2003 onwards starter system?
