Hello All,
I'm just about to trade in my Honda CB1300 for my first Busa.
Deals offered are £(GBP)2500 for my Honda. £9000 for a 2008 spec Busa. Balance £6500. Or..... £3000 for my Honda. £8000 for a 2007 spec Busa. Balance £5000.
The 6 million dollar question.... Is the 2008 spec bike worth the extra £1500?? Can I afford it? I'd just stick the extra on finance!!! UndecidedUndecided

definately go for the new '08 model, in the long run re-sale will also be far better. buy the older one and re-sale will be very very hard as market flooded. If you can find the extra 1500 quid definately go for it. Try changeover for 6000, squeeze em.

This also depends on how long you intend to keep the new bike.
An 07 busa should be good for at least 8 years of faithful service just like the old 99 models have done.
However if you turn over your bikes every few years, Volvi's advice is good advice.

In terms of quality, yes, the 08 has been refined in so many ways. But if your going to want extreme performance in the long run, it may be cheaper to get a new/used 07 & turbo it. It would probably end up costing a similiar amount.

However! brakes, dash, handling have all been upgraded on the 08 model.

For me, if I was getting one again, i'd get either an immaculate 99 model or a 2003 model in the fiery orange....

Check the 2003 model that seems bloody rare![attachment=1920]

Mant thanks guys. Rode out to 2 other dealers today. Am changing to a 08, having a blue one. £5000 to change (the other dealer said £5200). My local dealer was really taking the piss.
