Melbourne for Chrissy

Hi Folks,

My partner and I are taking the Busa to Adelaide for the holidays.
We are leaving Canberra on friday the 23rd and heading down the coast to melbourne. Spending 23rd and 24th in mornington and then taking the ferry across, then onto the GOR.

Is there anywhere that is best to stay on the GOR for christmas day and night? We will be camping. My sister suggested Apollo Bay and another good friend suggested some place at the other end of the GOR.
Looking for a nice quiet place to camp for the day or two.

Also, if anyone wants to meet up for a ride down the GOR or anything on these days, let me know. Though being so close to chrissy I dont expect any takers

I suggest you get the RACV book on "Experience Victoria" as it has lots of pages on the GOR.

Are you actually doing this ride some time on Christmas Day starting from Mornington ?

Oh yeah and watch out for the Secret Pigs who are doing some very ugly tricks down there in order to book the unwary.

Port campbell, thats the one.

We are going to be visiting friends near Yark (?) on the 23rd, then staying with friends in Sorrento (?) on the 24th. Hopefully the ferry runs on christmas day (i need to check that) so we will head across the bay on the 25th and spend that evening somewhere along the GOR.

Ill be taking it easy, dont want any trouble with police and fines on this trip. Ive heard you vics have problems with over eager cops. <i></i>
