Loafie had no choice his forks were leaking and any fix would improve that. But I do agree Glenn, that new oil would be good for it.

I didn't get a chance to talk to the actual mechanic that worked on my bike the other day but we did talk this morning, especially about the oil leaks. He was very impressed with the state of the shims. After 112,000ks they were still exactly on mid range of factory spec on every tappet.
Now if he can stop the seepage, I can get back out and enjoy the ride.

THE FORKS ONLY LEAKED CAUSE THE MORONS AT SKIDZ MOTOR CYCLES DENTED A LEG WHEN CHANGING MY TYRE , SO ONLY HAD ISSUE FOR 80ks
THE NEW OIL MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE TO MY FRONT END,BASICALLY IT DOESNT SHUDDER ON CORRAGATIONS AND GIVES A SMOOTHER RIDE,AND MY 05 HAS ONLY 35000 ON IT.MY PLAN WAS TO GET IT REVALVED AT BIKETEK BUT CASH AND TIME CONSTAINTS DIDNT ALLOW BEFORE THE GP ,SO SENT TO CHIVAS BROS AT GRANVILLE $160 .BUT IT IS ABSOLUTELLY TOP OF THE LIST TO BE DONE AND IF YOUR GOING TO THE TROUBLE TO DO THE FORKS I WOULD ENCOURAGE ANYONE TO GO THE REVALE.

I didn't mean any offence there Loafie. I was just making a point that if you hadn't had a leaking fork, you would not have needed to get them fixed.

Getting them worked for track is a different issue and I agree that the stock busa forks are not meant for that style of riding.

For me the busa handles exactly how I like it for the road. If I was doing track days, I would use a different bike.

who said anything about trackdays?Loafies done one in his life. Not juddering over corrugation would be more beneficial on the road than the track as most don,t have corrugations.

Too true, but mine doesn't judder over corrugations.
