Phillip Island MOTOGP - who's going?
#16
The wet really plays havoc with the look of your bike. I turned up today in the parking lot with mud up the back of my bike, all over my nice pipes and even on the front... Grr... If it wasn't raining, this wouldn't be a problem!

But yeah, wouldn't miss it for a few spots of rain.

Some moron was pasting promo materiel on the bikes in the secure parking area. Set of my alarm the bastards.

Had great ride through the Snowies with the Duck brigade. They all race B and C grade so in the wet, they ruled, well and truly, in the dry Chris -748 has Christened the Black and Grey as HMAS Inevitable. He was trying to get away from the "fat arsed Bus", biut, every time he looked in his mirrors, it was still on is tail. Got some rain and sleet while we up high in the tight stuff! That sucked, I hate riding twisties in the wet. Met with the rest of the Duck pack and stayed at Albury overnight before doing 960+ kays through f*&^ing Victoria, every corner in Mexico, we went to and then around. Reefton was a nightmare for a non-wet rider like moi, scared shitless the whole way down trying to keep the two better duck riders in sight, the rest had faded. Learnt a few things about "smooth" and "maintain corner speed" and "stay the f*** away from the brakes".

Got drunk Saturday after the track so washed the bike and stayed in. Were housed at Newhaven or some such, just near the big bridge at San Remo.

Awesome race - Go Stacey!! Poor old CVM was like a fish out of water, looked like he was struggling with the bike the whole time and was going backwards. Fer Ferks sake, give him a bike that works in the dry!

Great ride home. 800 odd kays in 8 hours. Sat on 120s to 160s with a retired NSW cop on a beaut looking and sounding Norton and his son-in-law on a gixxer 1000, just sat behind them after I found them a little before Holbrook as I left a servo. Didn't find out about his prior life until we refuelled together at Yass. Wouldn't have picked him. Not an on-duty-copper in sight. Lucky, quick and happy to get the hell off the Busa for at least a day!

Thanks mate. I'm using a rasp and cold chisel trying to get all the bugs off the black and grey. Egyptian

Well what a great weekend. We had idiots at the nextcamp throwing crackers and dry ice bombs at us so some few stern words one night then had to get physical the next night. The Monday, headed off to Omeo and what a great ride. Omeo via Bairnsdale, then Hotham, Bright, Mount Buffalo then to Beauty what a great ride. I'm all twistied out. Need to organise a group ride through there soon.
