I know it's not a busa, but I swear, now I've got a track bike and a 5 grand trailie I can get back to hyper blasting. The new busa is really growing on me and I'm sure once ridden, it will be a new love affair just like my last one.

Thats a horn looking bike but it don't look too comfortable. I guess thats not really the point.

Did you buy your Ducati from Ducati Church st Richmond Matt. Cause they quoted me $28,000 1098 on the road. Said it would take a few months for delivery too. Biker

28 on road for the base model about 34 for the "S" i just cancelled mine due to my girl being sick O/S so i'm going to have to head over to europe soon and im going to need the cash for that and anything else that might come up as a result.

test ride em both and the 1098S is much better to ride.

I'll be ordering one again in about 6 months once my girls home and everythings been sorted but it will probably mean another 6 month wait

IM SURE THEIR WILL BE A FEW LOW Ks FLOATING ABOUT ONCE THE 1198 LANDS ON THESE SHORES. I HAVE A MATE WITH THE 1098S WITH THE 4K PIPES AND CLAIMS TO HAVE A DEPOSIT ON THE 1198. IVE RIDDEN MY MATES AND ITS A AWSOME BIKE BUT NOT SURE HOW YOU WOULD GO TOURING ONE.

1098 28K on the road
1098S 34K on the road
TRI 38K on the road

I was going to use the money for a house deposit, but as an old mate told me, you can't ride a house! The 1098 is more comfortable than the 998 I have now, and for me, it was just a matter of getting used to it. The busa is still luxurious, but I don't mind the position of the Duke Superbikes. Apparently the Desmosedici D16RR is more comfortable than the 1098, even though it's a true MotoGP (990) replica. the D16RR also make 200 hp and has specially purpose built BT-01 Bridgestone tyres, the rear being a 200 section with 55 profile! Wouldn't mind trying them on a busa.

The 1198cc for WSBK I thought was going to be badged 1098R, not 1198R. Somewhat like the 996R being the testastretta 998 engine rather than the bored out 916 engine (to 996c).

Was out for a ride a few weeks ago and stopped at the usual servo for fuel - bloke came up and said "nice day for a ride, can't say the same for my bike!". It was his first ride on his new 1098s and he was waiting for the dealer to come and get it after it refused to continue.

Dont forget to add the - Ducati toolkit (mobile phone) to the above prices Ghastly

You blokes must get blisters on your hands alot, and not from throttling the busa either! The reason I can get a Ducati is coz I can't get women. Plus, after I've pumped my Ducati full of premium juice I still feel like holding it and talking to it and just watching it sit there. Not even porn can do that! And, if I go an get a beer and come back, the Ducati doesn't mind at all. In fact, it loves a good rub down whilst I'm having a Britney! How many blokes can say they've serviced their favourite female with a beer in one hand and an ashtray on the back? Confused

If I could afford a 1098S or Hypermotard, I'd be able to afford it's (rumoured etc) excessive maintenance. I can't, but hey, I can still dream haha.
